What is the dreaded drip? The dreaded drip is when you just finish washing and drying your Corvette, everything looks awesome.....You walk around your pride and joy for that one last look and there it is, the DREADED DRIP. It is the water that collects in your tail lights (because GM did not put a seal between the tailight and the body) and then drips out and down the rear bumper 5-10mins AFTER you finish drying your car. It is also the water that collects in the taillights and attracts all the road grime when you first take your Vette for a spin after a good washing.

Southern Car Parts Tail light seals solve the problem FOREVER, guaranteed!!!!!

Our tail light seals take less than 7 minutes to install, come with instuctions, and are pre-cut to be an exact fit every time. Only tools needed to intall them is a T15 Torx head and window cleaner. No glueing as they have a self-adhesive backing.

The seals are made from a high quality rubber that is UV resistant, temp resistant, and water resistant....THE SEALS ARE GUARANTEED FOR THE LIFE OF YOUR CAR. If they ever rot, crack, tear, or fade we will REPLACE THEM FREE OF CHARGE!

You will NEVER see the DREADED DRIP again!!!!!

Price is $24.99.

Quick question...
If your spraying water from a hose or get splashed while parked on the street, the water pressure gets past these seals and stays there, I'll assume thats why GM doesn't have them.

What happens to the water that makes it past the seals because they're not completely water tight, and lays in there?

Having replaced my spoiler, I know whats back there.

Pretty much is just about open air, if any water gets in there, it will just dry like it does now. What is supposed to not happen is some of it running out and down the tail...

No, just dries up....The purpose of the seals is NOT to prevent want from getting in your bumper for any reason. It is all open anway.....The purpose is to keep water (when you are washing your car) from getting under and behind the tail lights and then it drips out after everything is dry and clean.

Trust me, there is absolutely nothing that can happen to your car by installing the seals nor does it undermine any GM intentional engineering.

Just take out one taillight and everything will make sense....

See ya,

Jim

Another quick question..

I bought the seals for my C5Z06, but never put them on before I traded up to the C6Z. Can I use these seals on the C6?

TIA,

Jeff

Yes, you can use them. When you install them you will need to trim off about 1/4" as they will be too long but otherwise will work fine.

You can use the C5 seals on a C6 but not the other way (c6 on a c5) as they will be to short.

Thanks,

Jim

Guaranteed to solve the problem mentioned above and are adjustable for size. Funny thing is someone beat me to the design, so they are already available at your local Home Depot. Sure to make an impression on the ladies and on yourself.

I installed the taillight seals last week and the drip is totally gone. The seals look really good around the taillights and gives it a better finished look. Great product
