Does this go on the inside of the console (storage area) or on the bottom of the console where it mounts?

If it goes in the storage area, do you pull the stock liner out?

It goes on the inside of the console, just press it on top of the existing liner, very simple

not sure how well it works on the vette, but on my Nova this area was a little heater oven. its funny driving the two cars 40 years apart, cus there's distinct similarities.. wouldnt be surprised if this noticeably helps.

I hear ya but this install takes seconds, remove the spare change and what ever else is in the console, than take the insulator and press it into place, and you're done so simple
