Value of C5 targa top
Just wondering what a Brand New unused finished targa top goes for. NOT the clear or tinted lexan top but a true color matched top with actual interior. i am thinking 900 - 1200 bucks! i am looking for a TORCH RED one and seeing what i may pay!

I have one in TR that I never ran on the car...I am keeping it until they sell for $1000 some day....

If you are patient, occasionally they come up for sale in the for sale forum. However, if you're waiting for your particular color to come up.....you'll probably wait a long while! I bought a nice used black top for $400 and had it repainted MY. My clear lexan top hasn't been on the car since!

Unfortunately even the primed replacements are no longer available from GM - so any C5 top in good condition is gaining value all the time these days.
Take care of the tops you have, they ain't making any more...

I've seen the fiberglass ones, in good condition (heck, sometimes virtually unused) go between $400-$600. I would not pay $1K for one - there are better deals out there.

Is it really that sunny in New York all the time? When I bought my C5, I immediate wrapped and stashed the painted top. The translucent one is much lighter and lets in some light, even on cloudy days.

ha! yeah, it gets crazy hot and sunny here often. i just like look of the painted top better then the tinted. i dont care about seeing out.

My car is black and the difference in interior temps with the Lexan top over the painted one is unmistakeable!!!!!!!
I would be ecstatic to trade my Lexan top for a good aftermarket Cat-back exhaust, preferably GHL Bullets!!

You see them for sale on e-Bay all the time. That would be a good place to get a feel for what they sell for.

Back in 06 I found an Electron Blue hard top locally off this site for $ 500.00, no repaint necessary, was from an 03 Anniversary Edition. Be patient, they are out there.

What is it with GM and their discontinuation of parts for these cars? Don't they realize these ain't Cavaliers and people tend to keep Corvettes around for a long time?
