ORPHAN VIN-stamped parts and documents- list here

I picked up on this as I thought it was a great idea years ago, and others did too.
What we are going to do to start with is start a thread up in the Sticky area to allow members with documents and parts with VIN numbers to match those up with current owners of the car they belong to.
Please note that this is NOT a place to list "Items Wanted" or "looking for a car" unless you have VIN stamped items to match to it.
This section will a place where people who have items with VINs and are looking for the cars to match them to.
Administration tells me if this gets busy, they will look at opening a complete section dedicated to Orphan items of all generations. As of today, I am opening these sections in C1/2 and C3 forums.
Thanks very much and please participate if you would like. Feel free to comment or ask relevant questions as well.

So, if you have documents pertaining to a C1 or C2 Corvette that has a VIN, or original parts with VINs stamped on them and you would like to use this forum to try to reunite them with the owners, please post your information here. All arrangements, payment, and whatever related details are involved will be a private issue between the parties. (Of course we would LOVE to hear any success stories that result!)

I haven't posted in a while but thought I would share some exciting news from my week. For some background, I found a 1965 365 L76 with factory AC (4 speed, power windows) sitting in a barn in Ohio (since 1978) close to my house in March of 2020. With the help of several on this forum, I was able to buy the car and get it sorted out. The car was down to the primer but really nice shape overall. It had almost all the original parts but had the incorrect factory block (which was from a 68 Camaro). There's a thread on the forum if you'd like to see the background.
I started tearing the car down for a full restoration in late 2020 and life got in the way and I wasn't making the progress I wanted. I'd get spurts of time to work on the car then it would sit for months. Finally in 2022 I decided to send it off and have someone else complete the full restoration. It's close to finished now but just waiting on a few interior parts that we are having difficulties finding.
The car was delivered new to a dealer in Monrovia, CA in early 1965. Somehow it ended up on a dealer lot in Lima, OH in 1975. I know of both owners since 1975 but have zero history between 1965 and 1975.
Fast forward to Tuesday evening of this week. I received an email from @macster saying he'd found my original block for sale on FB marketplace in Loveland, CO. My jaw nearly hit the floor. As many know, a 365 with factory AC is a pretty rare find and as I learned later, often faked. So finding my original block with the HK suffix was HUGE. I always held out hope for finding the original block but honestly it was like finding a needle in a hay stack.
I was able to contact the seller of the block and get it bought. He told me that the block was in a car his dad bought from a friend and in 1968 they pulled the motor from my car and put in his because it was pretty heavy built racing engine and the guy that had my car wanted an engine more built for cruising. I have no idea how or why my car went from Monrovia, CA in 1965 to Northern Colorado/Southern Wyoming in 1968 but its more pieces to the puzzle. I always thought a military guy likely had my car and that's maybe what took him across the country but who knows? I may write the Colorado and Wyoming DMV and see if they have any history on registration.
Anyway, It just brings me a huge amount of joy to get the block back in my possession and I write this to give you hope that these cool things do happen and there are great guys out there that are watching for these orphan parts when they come up. Also, If you are looking for some orphan parts then get that last 7 digits of the car in this forum so it can be searched when these parts are found.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas....especially you @macster !

I also found a few documents for a 1967 Coupe (194377S114304)that I had from Hawthorne (New Jersey) Auto Sales, A sales contract stamped "PAID" , A NYS Tax Clearance Certificate, also a (yellow) receipt from Hawthorne Auto sales with figures about the "deal". In addition to an estimate for body work for that '67 Coupe when some jackass ran a stop sign & hit me on the r/s fender & door. I will gladly surrender these papers to who ever wound up with these two cars,,,,,,,,,, FOR FREE ! But they would have to have current proof of their ownership along with current pix's. Peace,,, moosie

I think that is a 1960 VIN.
prob April 21 1960... 07546 would be May, 1960.
