✅SOLUTION Everything you wanted to know about your FOB's and RKE

I have the 2014 Owner's manual PDF and I've referred to that document plus I've carried over some of the logic from the C6 process to develop 2 separate tables.
I would appreciate help from you on this in the form of feedback on any errors that may appear in the tables. I will place the tables in here using a PDF format. I have the tables in a MS Word.DOCX format and I can edit and update them quite easily.
I would really like to get these tables accurate to help current and future C7 owners.
I thank you in advance for your feedback,
Elmer

Added by moderator zjoe6. This is a FOB part number table that Elmer posted in another thread. I thought it would be helpful in the opening post.

Unlock completes the programming of the RKE
The 12 second press of the start button exits the Programming mode.

What were you doing? Adding a 3rd? Reprogramming all 3 what?

Particulary about pressing the unlock button when done.
Its unclear to me how I screwed up on my first (and so far only) attempt to add another key. Perhaps I did not switch the back lock on fast enough or it was actually more than 5 times.
To feel comfortable, If I screw up can I be assured that no matter what after 10 minutes I can start the car with a previously working key -- no matter what?

You would do the short method to add an RKE, NOT the long method. The short method keeps the RKEs you have functioning and adds more RKEs.
Read the short method steps and follow those instructions.

My question relates to what my C6 did that I can't get my C7 to do. On the C6 I could set it via the DIC to honk the horn and flash the lights when I walked away from the car letting me know the doors were locked. I haven't found anything in the manual or DIC that will let me set the C7 up this way. Am I missing something or is this not available on the C7?
