Collin, some of the items are not necessarily consistent. For instance, later in the year the SMALL BASE mirror is prevalent. Of course, when we talk the Z06 then we have even more 1-off parts.

Agree, but still the mirror was a mid year change, and long base never used again.

With the Z06, I would love to capture all the one off and put that in a separate category.

In the OP, should "spare tire tube" read "spare tire tub", re: the early design without lip and notches?

Also- draft tube at back of intake is different
Air cleaner (oil fill hose connect) different
Clutch fork design different

I believe the bell housing is unique to '63 as well as the bearing retainer on the trans. Also the Diff and the Diff bracket. The main shaft on the Muncie is also unique. It does not have a bushing for the first gear to ride on. First gear rides directly on the shaft which has been a problem area, so I am learning.

If we had pictures of all these unique items that would be really helpful.

Yes. A welded reinforcement was added to the sway bar mounting bracket about halfway through the model year. The frame was a one-year-only part too, due to the solid body mounting (tall body mount brackets).

Was the light gray speedometer cable unique to 1963? The 1964 model also had a light gray cable, however the connectors were slightly different from the 1963. I think it might be unique to 1963, but not sure if it shared application to 1962.

Also I understand that the mounting bracket for AC compressor was a one year only, along with the underdash air stuff. Or so I am told.

Seat cushions under the vinyl were different, the overflow tank tubes were pressed in, not welded. There were actually 3 different versions of the hood with provisions for plastic vibration blocks. Some very late cars actually had metal headlight buckets, and the 64 instrument cluster with a spacer for steering column. early cars had smooth dash, no radio surround bezel. Only after introduction of AM/FM did radio surround bezel appear. The inner spindle drive flange were much thicker, as were the bumper braces. Early high horse cars had 60 # oil gage before switching over to 80# later in year. rear end was one year only on splines I believe, and a lighter duty P trac unit. Vent and heater cable assemblies were one year only. gray speedometer and tach cable jacket. Inner front fender panels were bonded, not weatherstripped. front splash pans, radiator support. There were two different versions of the rocker panels- one had a single mounting hole at either end, the other- two.
the headlight bucket guts were different also. There were at least two different versions of headlight bucket bezels; one had side retaining screws, the other at the top and bottom as I remember. You have to match up your buckets with right type of bezels if you are hunting for replacements. Center exhaust hangar was specific to 63 also. Rear glass retainers were different from later years, as well.

Default Windshield Stainless

Is the windshield stainless trim different on the 63, or is that uniform throughout the midyears? Coupe or convertible....outside or inside make any difference?

Convertible lower windshield moulding is 63 only as are the retaining clips. On the convertible the interior side panels behind the seats are 63 only.

You mentioned hood wedges, but there were 2 hoods. With provisions for wedge blocks and without.
