Never updated this but I'm going to start again!
Sold the car when my first kid was born back in September of 2015, regretted every minute of it but wanted to be financially smart.
Picked up an 84 Grand Prix 6 months ago, and before that a Honda Scooter to tinker and work on.
Then a few weeks ago, I got a message from a friend saying your old vette is up for sale! I instantly got the nod from my wife,(Love you Babe!)and called the guy ASAP!
He listed for $14,000, I had sold to him for $12k.
Long story short he knew she had to return home and sold it to me for $12k!
BUT! Since my ownership he installed a new centerforce clutch, new AC compressor and starter, fixed the passenger window motor and other maintenance items!
Back where she belongs!

Nice that you got your C5 back and changed out those gawdy rims and restored the pop up headlights. Nice mods, looks great
I never met Bill aka Evil-Twin in person, but I have communicated with him over the years and he is a genuinely great guy. Too bad he no longer posts here.

So did some maintenance work such as an oil change, cleaned and oiled the blackwing(also added a new silicone coupler a t bolt clamps).
Cleaned up the frc and under hood as it was dusty and dirty as hell!
Currently I am working on a targa top restore.

Woah, is that vinyl wrap? Really cool idea to restore the triangles. Mine are a bit faded in spots and it kinda annoys me. Wonder how much a shop would charge for that....

the triangles are vinyl wrapped and I would just do it yourself! You can get the vinyl for less than $50 shipped and have plenty room for mess ups or attempts!

So got the dreaded water on the passenger floor board So I finally got around to cleaning the udders and boy was that one clogged on the passenger side!
I also found the ac drain plug and cut off the pinched end as recommended in the thread to end all leaks on the forum!
Also about a month ago I lost my harzards and brake lights and had to toss in a new Hazard switch which corrected my issue!
For the water on the floor I vacuumed it up and let the interior air out and so far after two nights of rain, so far so good.🙏
Also my new hood struts came in from Rock Auto so have to toss them on as my originals are getting weak and not always holding the hood up fully.
Now some pictures!
