Default Wind noise

Has anyone else noticed a wind noise that seems to be coming from the drivers side seat belt opening behind the door glass?

Yes, I've noticed it too. I think it is only noticeable because the rest of the car is so amazingly quiet!

I have a wind noise coming from somewhere in my left ear behind me. I have a 15 coupe that is a non z51. Haven't had a chance to make adjustments or throw some tape around to find the culprit just yet. Let us know if you narrow it down.

I had thought that maybe the raised roof was not sitting tightly against the body, but really can't tell if the sound is from around the driver's side window or is indeed coming from under the raised roof. It's not "bad", but it is "there". I tried re-indexing the windows with no improvement. I plan to mention it to the dealer during my my next service appointment.

I do not have that noise, but I did have a similar noise in my C6 which i tracked down to a vibration in the roof pillar plastic behind my ear on the drivers side. Funny though, once i knew what it was, i lost interest in fixing it. Sold the car instead :-)

mike wisdom,

I understand the displeasure when dealing with wind noise concerns. While I realize you're seeking opinions from others, if you feel an official GM diagnosis is necessary, I'd be happy to communicate your sentiments with the Customer Experience Managers (CEM) at your preferred GM dealer. Please know that you're welcome to message us privately if you'd like to proceed, or if you simply want your experience(s) officially documented.

Off topic but what are your thoughts on Block- It? Thinking about getting but wasn't sure how much really helped.

Me as well. It sounds like their is a gap on the door jamb area that is wide enough to let air through while driving.

Thanks William It is not severe and I will bring it up with my dealer next time I am in for service to see if it is any real issue

I like it and it does make the cabin quieter which may be why even this minor wind noise is noticable now. It was well worth the money in my opinion.

Mike I right now as we speak am going through warranty for the wind noise what they found out is it is the roof and the faster you go the more it opens the gasket and you hear it I thought i was hearing it from the windshield but it was the roof warped and the front edge dosnt seal the
gasket here is what to try as you drive pull hard down on the lever that locks your front driver roof handle and see if it subsides

I wear hearing aids and I just open up the exhaust drowns it all out.
