not sure if this has been posted before, 1960 convertible
This showed up on my ebay feed today, I was intrigued as I was reading the ad, I noticed this is about 10 minutes from me.
Hard believe it's been sitting since 1970. I'm a fairly newbie from the C3 side, only had our vette for a little over a year. but I still appreciate them all.

Knowing what it takes to rebuild a C3, or at least partially. I can't even fathom what a C1 takes. I do admire those year corvettes, I can only assume paint jobs are just as pricey, what would a nice 1960 be worth? Is this car even close being worth 11k?

If you are building a restomod all you want is the body, shiny bits, dash pod, etc.. Frame, running gear, even seats are not necessary. People are paying $20K-$25K for good bodies for restomods....and you can sell off the original bits that you don't need. That's worth $11K all day long and maybe quite a bit more....if the dash bracing (the equivalent of a C1 birdcage) isn't completely shot.

A paint job on that car here in NY starts at $10K and grows from there. If the car were closer I would be a buyer. New frame and a resto mod for sure!

My initial thought was, "Are you kidding me??!!" Maybe P.T. Barnum was right. There is a "Sucker born every minute". I'm sorry but I've been out of the Corvette market too long. So I did some quick research on the internet about '60 body parts, repro fiberglass & '60 Corvettes in general, and Frankie just might be right that body might be worth 11K.

The extent of rust and corrosion on steel parts is absolutely amazing ... those rear leaf springs are almost unrecognisable ........ wonder what the birdcage is like .... no mention of that in the listing.
