Default Base C7 with Z06 replica wheels installed - Pics

Hey guys,
I've been following the multiple threads by vendors preselling, selling, and shipping the 18"/19" C7 Z06 replica wheels but i have yet to see pics of these installed.

I purchased some through a good friend that works at Discount Tire. I didnt know where else to post the pics since i didnt purchase from a specific vendor here, so I'm making my own thread and invite anyone else who has these installed to post here.

They balanced fine and I've ran them up to 90-100mph a few times with no vibrations or anything abnormal.

Finish quality is great, i went with the gloss black and bought black lugnuts as well.

I'm running the oem front tires and 305/35/19 nt05r drag radials on the rear

Thanks guys! Sway bars and the car is done! ! ! (I think )

I got the led side markers from Pete@Showstoppers. They weren't cheap but im happy with them.

I've recently seen Oracle has a version now as well thats about $100 less but I haven't seen any pics of them actually installed. I kinda like how the ShowStoppers version has some separation between each led. I think the oracle version is intended to look like a solid strip of led

I see you made the purchase at Discount Tire. Where were these wheels made, in China? If not what was the country of origin?

Thanks for posting. I have the 19" & 20" coming in Chrome for my 2015 Stingray. Due in January 2016. I will post some images here.

Considering how all the vendors have recently started offering them all at the same time, my guess is they are all the same and all made in China. I first saw them in person last weekend at a local Corvette World in Dallas. The boxes brand name was "Factory Reproductions" and said made in China on them. I wanted to use my 6 months no interest Discount Tire card so i ordered a set through Discount

Here's a bad pic of the boxes they came in

Thanks for the post. I was told by my CF vendor where I made the purchase (pre-order) they were "Factory Reproduction" branded wheels, made in China.

I have no concerns as I have purchased aftermarket cast wheels made in China/Japan in the past without any problems.

I am really looking forward to getting these wheels.

Your AW C7 with the gloss black Z06 look very nice.

One other question.......did you use your OEM Corvette center wheel caps on the new Z06 wheels?

China and Japan are WORLDS apart as far as producing wheels... I wouldn't say both in the same sentence as being anywhere near equal.

Some of the best wheels in the world come out of Japan, and the JWL standard is one of the most stringent in the world.

My question to vendors would also include the more important question, though, which is are these JWL or TUV certified. Either is good, both even better.

If meeting neither...and coming out of China, I wouldn't put on my car if I was paid to. In a car that can reach speeds close to 200mph, f**k no.

Looks great! Is that the Z06 stage 1 OEM splitter you have there? If so, is it also painted in carbon flash?

I would never purchase China made wheels for a high performance car.

Heh ......... I'd swear that there are pictures posted by nmvettec7 in another thread of the high end GM wheels for the C7 Corvette that are manufactured in China. If so, that would put the "I won't run China built wheels on my car" statement to bed. GM for many reasons isn't going to sell a non certified wheel. The litigation issues would be horrendous.

OP, it would be nice to see a close up photo of just the wheel. All of the vendors are buying the same replica wheel, which is made in China and selling them at whatever price they want to. Probably 99% of aftermarket wheels are made in China including most of GM spec corvette wheels. GM wheels are made to GM specifications.

If you are driving a C-7 you may want to look at your wheels. They are made in China
