What's a good cold air intake for c6
#2
I'm impressed with the one that came on it Some will argue that aftermarket is better; but my opinion is that the OEM is excellent on this car. Many of the benefits offered on aftermarket intakes are already accomplished with OEM design on this car. 50k mile replacement interval (vs 12-25kish on many cars); excellent flow and filtering capacity. What are your goals with replacing?

The 2 above gentleman make a lot of sense...but I bought the K&N setup...my first mod, looking back it is lower on the food chain with respect to other bolt-ons by a large margin. But hey...million mile warranty says K&N (okay...sure) AND my dirty birdy filter still...per K&N pundits still flows better than a previously scrubbed filter.

The best is the one you make yourself:
Gap the bottom of the shroud with PVC pipe.
Make an air scoop out of an old black office trash can and stick it up underneath.
Cover the filter box area with a windshield sunshade to separate filters from engine heat.
Works great. Yeee-haaaw

Gains only occur when you slap the "DIY" sticker on the driver's side fender (so you see it every time you go to drive your car) to impress your buds at car meets.

Since you have a LS2, you might actually gain something from another intake. Several have been mentioned above, which are good.
I would caution you to actually buy a cold air system....not just another filter.
Since you are kinda new let me suggest that you hit the 'Search' in the red area at the top of the page and type in 'cold air intake'......you can read for several days about our opinions.
I have a Haltech with a VetteAir to supply the cool air. There are many others.
Good luck on your hunt.

Melting Slicks
Halltech MF103 & call it a day. Very easy install & fully reversible. I also added a Vette-Air but it's not necessary.

He asked about cold air intakes not hot air intakes.
