What products would work well to polish and protect the chrome exhaust tips.

Simichrome seems to be a favorite around here, but any metal/chrome polish will be just fine.

Simichrome 390050 All Metal Polish, Tube.

Lots of threads about its virtue.

By the way, the tips aren't chrome. Most any white metal polish will work just fine.

Use a mothers powercone and a drill...faster and more effective, the hand cannot move at 700 rpm. Use any metal polish, it's stainless, don't get hung up on a "magic" brand.

X3. Work smarter not harder. I prefer Mothers aluminum and mag polish. To each their own.

Immediately wash and squeeze and rinse bucket with tide--wipe off pipes first with alcohol/water so the power cone can do the polishing , not the cleaning....

I use foam filter cleaner that I get from the motorcycle shop. His looks brand new though.

One more "tip," after you have them polished up, use an old dry towel to clean them off after each drive [fold the towel, the tips get very hot!], takes a half minute and keeps them looking polished.

Good old Brasso. Works great and seems to stay cleaner longer.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but I need some advice. I kind of let the exhaust tips on my DD Pontiac G8 get away from me. They were near black and while simichrome helped I'm hoping to get them looking better.

Any suggestions for a deep clean/restoring cleaner?
