Wanted 69 front bumper and grill brackets, parking lamps, marker lights, grills etc
Converting my 79 to chrome bumpers. Looking for the following:
1) Plenum extension. Not sure which side I need, I have the one in the picture below.
3) The two inner grill brackets
14) the two rectangular pieces of plastic that shield the headlights when they are closed

Priya - I have a horseshoe, frame extensions, and the piece they both bolt onto. They are not perfect but if you are interested send me a PM and I can send you some pictures and more detail. I am unsure of the year as they were extras that my Dad bought. My project is a '68, but I am sure the frame was not original. Dad found some others and blasted and prepped them and had them ready for installation. I recently disassembled these and all the main bolts came out, a few with a specialty socket since the heads were rounded before I got to work on it, all with some PB Blaster. There are two bolts that are broken off in the "crossmember" but I am unsure what they are from. You can see it all in the pictures if you are interested. Just let me know.

I tried to send you a PM earlier today and it said "they have exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.". Maybe that had something to do with it.

Since you are doing a conversion you do not need to limit yourself to 69 for the front bumper extension brackets, as the 69' ext brackets are 1 year only parts.
Just fyi, you could probably use the 68' or 70'-72' ext brackets.

As i don't know why the 69 parts are different I assumed I had to use 69 parts because they were needed to fit the 69 specific body parts like grills, bumperettes, etc.

I am finding them one by one as I am in no hurry on my project.
Some good deals out there.
Some parts are new and others will need blasting and paint.
I may powdercoat mine.
Good luck with your search Priya....nice project.

PM replied to on the front bumper Priya. I just realized you are located in Saskatoon, so my offer to drive bumper to the border won't really work, sorry. Glad to ship it to you though.
Thank you.

Priya, these just showed up on the forum and I thought you might need them. SS164 is a friend of mine and a good guy, lives about 30 minutes from me. Let me know if I can help any further.

Wow!
Seems like everyone has been thinking about Priya's project.
I am in the process of collecting all the parts for the rear bumper only conversion.
Got a great deal on ebay for some supposedly "driver" rear bumpers. They are in great shape and only $100 delivered.
So.....while looking for rear bumper brackets and braces, I bought several misc deals on ebay. Then found a good guy in ATL named corvettemack who actually had 3/4 of what I needed. Gave me a great deal. Now I have almost 2 full sets enroute to me this week.
So...Priya......if you would like one full set of rear bumper brackets all shipped from one source.....I will sort out mine when they show up. You can then have one full set from me...AT COST (+shipping).
I'll post or send you pics when everything arrives and is sorted.
How's that sound?

Sounds great Dennis, unfortunately I paid a guy on Thursday for a complete rear bumper bracket set he's planning on shipping Tuesday. They were about 70% of the cost of new pieces so hopefully they all turn out to be in good shape. Looks like I should have held out longer for a better price. If I get them and any pieces aren't up to snuff I'll let you know.
I am in no hurry as I am in the collecting parts phase.....
Good luck with your project....I'll be following along.
Dennis (Bman)
And I have no problem shipping to Canada or Europe..........always willing to help our fellow CF members.
Peace

Hey Priya,
Did you get your bumper bracket set yet?
I received all of what I had ordered so far.
Missing 2 outer rods to complete one set.
Just ordered the other pieces to make 2 full sets of the other brackets and rods.
I found on DocRebuild's site the full bolt set for only $29.95.
Happy hunting......

Priya,
You have this bracket coming now correct? I located this one of mine that I had powder coated and wanted to make sure you didn't need it before I put it up for sale.
