Default C2 Sightings

One of the other forums I'm on has a "Sightings" thread for anyone seeing the vehicles out and about. I thought I'd start one here since it's kind of rare to see a C2 just out running around (especially in Alaska). Here's a photo of a coupe I snapped recently - I see this car regularly around Anchorage and they drive the car a lot when the weather is nice.

I tried to change the thread title after someone mentioning C1's...The edit wouldn't let me change it to put "C2/C1"...Definitely post them too and sorry for the oversight!! I love them both but usually have C2's on the brain since that's one that I currently have

I've run into another split window (white) on the way to get my tires balanced.
The owner drives it everywhere on routine errands and I've seen it twice more since these pics!

Its a 340hp survivor with some 'patina' for sure...

Can it only be C2 sightings?

Saw this guy in traffic the other day...

Definitely post them and sorry for not thinking to include them. I love C1's but only currently have a C2...I tried to change the thread title but the system wouldn't do it...

Fun to see that nice corvettes like these are still out to see in the United States. In my country the netherlands I have never seen one driving on the road. Here you can only find them in museums. I will change that when my 66 coupe arrives

That'll be great! I'm sure everyone will love seeing it!
We just spent a month in Europe (France, Germany, Belgium, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland) and I was amazed how few classics we saw on the road, including the many nice European cars!! It was super rare to see anything with any age on it!

That is absolutely true. Not many old cars here on the road. But I have to admit that when there is a real hot day here and it is absolutely not going to rain than people will open up their garages and old porsches and other classics start to appear, but still you won't see much american clasics here.

Was in CA on vacation in April. Heading south on Coast Hwy, at intersection to Doheny State Beach, saw this '63-4 ? with BB hood, custom paint, mags and chrome side headers stopped at the light. I got the green and had to move before a closer examination.

Put a smile on my face to see somebody out in their ride in paradise.

That picture brought back some memories, Frankie. Two Sting Rays at a drag strip in the summer of '64. You can tell the red one is going to race because its hubcaps are off, ready to burn-out those skinny bias-ply 6.70 x 15 whitewalls!

I live on the French Riviera and I can guarantee that not only during the summer but all year long there are a lot of vintage cars cruising on the roads, the vast majotity being european classics of course. Sure when I go out with my C1 I get thumbs up

In that case if you'll pay the expenses I'll stop by and align those split window doors you're asking about in your other thread

And be sure to have a good selection of non-metric tools on hand. I doubt the Chief Master will want to pack some in his Transatlantic luggage!

Sort of a funny side story about that picture. I was cruising past a local grocery store on the way to the tire place to get mine balanced and this older guy flags me down coming out of the store and I stop and he leans in the window and says, yup I've got my split window at the other end of the parking lot.

I'm thinking OK, I hear about people claiming to know somebody with a SWC all the time -- how do I get rid of this nut. Because, as we all know, the odds of two original split windows meeting randomly in a store parking lot today are what -- a gazillion to one ?

I putt along behind the old dude about 25 yards down a long row of cars and sunnuva-bitch - there is a the original white split window big as you please. A little crazy....and made both of our days

Just saw a slightly custom C2 coupe cruising Anchorage. Sorry for the crappy photo but I felt good even getting this one! Looks like a '64 from what I can see...I've never seen this one before up here.
