Default Procharger bracket recommendations

I'm curious to see what are all of my options for upgraded brackets. I'm on the v1 procharger bracket on my p1 and I had some belt slippage even with my flip drive (6 rib 3.4 pulley stock crank). I may jump to a d1 but I won't be getting into an f1 volute anytime soon.

What do you guys recommend that won't cost me an arm and a leg?

have been running A&A procharger bracket for ages and it's awesome. put down 907whp with 8 rib belt and no flip drive. once i got my pulleys all aligned perfectly with a laser it was golden.

How much more power do you want? A&A makes an awesome bracket no doubt but OD balancer would also help on your current set up. I'm running OD balancer with 6 rib stuff and a large 4.1 pulley and made 16psi with 730/640 with my D1 on Procharger Bracket and 6 rib flip drive. If I turn it up more I will likely go to 8 rib as the swap is easy with the flip drive plus the balancer I have is already 8 rib. I did just get kooks 1 7/8 headers with 3 inch mids installed( 1 3/4 tri-y and 2.5 mids before) so I'm hoping it has a bit more than 730 in it now. 750 would be awesome

The way I see it you are going to need to change to an 8 rib balancer if you want to go 8 Rib in future so you could try adding an 8 rib OD balancer then just run 6 rib stuff like me. The extra two ribs on balancer won't cause any issues. Changing to a larger balancer and larger blower pulley will help. If it still slips then just swap on the few 8 rib pulleys on that side. Flip drive makes it easy

Btw I didn't pay an arm and a leg for my SFI OD balancer either

I got it when it was made by dayco for Jegs but didn't see it on jegs last time I checked

$250 on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Dayco-PBO8111.../dp/B013YNJVU4

Good find Peety! That would definitely make it easy to jump to an 8 rib, which actually may be in my near future should I upgrade my bracket. Why am I just seeing this now?! You been keeping that card in your back pocket.

I'm on a 3.4 pulley with my p1 right now and made 690 on a dynapak with about 3 psi on the table. Started slipping up top and my tuner thinks he could squeeze another 30 hp out of it if the belt wasn't slipping. I was hoping the flip drive would get it done, but the v1 procharger bracket just isn't cutting it.

I'll have to calculate it but I think I may overspin the p1 with an overdrive pulley but now that the d1x is out I'm gonna have my eye on that. I'm surprised the p1 is actually putting down some strong numbers for me. Most guys on the forum can't squeak out more than 650 with that. And yes, I know it's a dynapak.

Ha ha this card hasn't been in my back pocket all. You have great numbers on the P1. I assume it's the P1SC-1 version.

3.4 with OD balancer would completely max out P1 at just over 6,600 rpm 64466 impeller speed.

You could step up to a 3.6 with 8.10 balancer and still be spinning it a hair harder than you are now with a lot more surface grip.

@6700 rpm

3.4/7.5 combo impeller 60,596. Vs 3.6/8.10 61,808 impeller

That is the combo I want to run because the D1 is rated at 62k (P1 65k) and I can rev to 7k which would over spin it for just a few rpm up top

Is the best way for a procharger to piece together a system? I looked before getting a ysitrim kit and piecing it together (F1A or D1SC) would have more been more $$$ for me.

Nothing cheaper about piecing together any system. Most of us have had our kits for so long it's just iterations of trying something new and going faster.

Speaking of that... anyone know any deals for brackets? The FS forum has been dark for brackets lately. Really need to get one in the next week or two.
