Hi Everyone, I have contacted the Sheraton Hotel in Harrisburg to setup a block of rooms for this years run down to Carlisle. I'll ask for a similar number of rooms as was done in the past, details will follow once everything is firmed up.

As in previous years, the block will include the Thursday night for anyone who goes down earlier, plus they usually offer the same rate for a few days before and after.

Dates of the event are August 24 - 27 , 2017

The Block of Rooms is as follows, in addition, rates will be available 3 days prior and 3 days after the Event Dates indicated in the Room Block, subject to availability of guest rooms at the time of reservation.


Thurs Aug 24 - 5 Rooms
Fri Aug 25 - 20 Rooms
Sat Aug 26 - 20 Rooms
Sun Aug 27 - 5 Rooms

The “cut-off date” for reserving rooms in the Room Block is 5:00 p.m. local time at Hotel on August 3, 2017.

Cancellation policy is 3 days (72 hours) prior to your first days reservation. If it's cancelled before the 3 days/ 72 hours, there is no penalty. It will spell this out in your confirmation e-mail with exact dates and times.

Room rate is $139.00 US + Tax, this rate applies for single,double,triple,or quad .. meaning that if you had 4 people in the room, the price is still $139.00 ideally split 4 ways.

I went with the default of 2 Double Beds for all the Online Bookings, if you prefer to have 1 King bed and 1 Pullout couch bed, Book Online and then call the Toll Free Number above and provide them your Confirmation Number from the Online Booking and switch the room to the King bed with the Pullout couch.

I am booked and confirmed.
I booked for the Thurs till Sun, just in case there is anyone else wanting to leave on the Thurs as I would like the extra day, more relaxing etc, but if no one is going on the Thurs, I will cancel that one night and head out with the main group..

My wife and me are leaving on Friday to go for the day on Saturday
We went last year and had a lot of fun. We were planning to go to bowling green this year but the corvette plant is going to be down this summer for 2 months. So we are going back to Carlisle again this year. last year we went for the whole 4 days this year we are going Saturday only. We are driving up the corvette but I think we are just going to park it the parking lot up the hill. Is there a cost for parking and for the Saturday. What would you guys do

Actually, in case you weren't aware the Corvette Plant tours will be closed after June 16, 2017 and will be closed for approximately 18 months... Tours won't be available again until Jan. 2019.
This is on the National Corvette Museum website.

Thx Dan, I will look into this as we had 20 rooms for Fri and Sat and we only have 16 booked. Will update later tonite with what I find out.

i can t think it would be any cheaper down there, as you will be adding 35%. plus you don t get to keep the take off parts. jmo
