Default Back of my car is covered with black spots

2016 C7 Stingray.
2800 miles.
I visited 3 dealerships and they cannot find the way to fix it. Does anyone has the same problem?
I think the car is lemon.
The spots are covered all over my trunk. I tried different gas stations .Checked the oil. Nothing. My son is kind of mechanic and he thinks there is a serious issue. I am tired of cleaning the back of the car and I am afraid it will be more issues after the warranty.

Does anyone has any idea how to fix that or shall I continue talking with GM ?Please advise.

There have been several gratuitously rude and mocking replies to this gentleman's post. He wants to know whether he even has an issue, including a legitimate concern about a possible engine fault that could cost him after his warranty expires. His treatment here will cause others to be reluctant to ask questions, and diminish the usefulness of the forum.

If its coming from your car the bottom should have stuff all over it also. If you are not losing oil etc from the car I would suspect perhaps the road surface you are driving on?? Recent sealing of cracks in the road etc.

Normal, If you’re a spirited driver, keep it in sport or track mode, and don’t like to wash your car.

Do you have mass transit diesel busses running in your area. We used to get that pollution on the back of a white mustang due to bus smog

What do the insides of the exhaust tips look like? Any pics?

Sounds like you are saying it's oil spots, yes?

Try taking a terry face cloth with a little gasoline on it and rub over the spots and see if they come off.

I get a bit of soot from my pipes when I apply a generous amount of throttle over the course of a week or so. Mine washes right off. It can spot a bit overnight with moisture/dew.

Looks like a normal Corvette Dirty Butt to me. Clay bar works great on the black spots! Get it real clean then use some Rejex on it to keep it clean.

Sometimes the car is throwing out smoke like black color. It has nothing to do with the road. I live in a decent area.

I wouldn't think black exterior spots are enough to declare this car a "lemon" unless it is clearly a paint defect. More than likely there is an external cause.

You cannot clean if that happens every time you drive!

The spots happen from the smoke coming out from exhaust pipes. Who wants to drive a car with carbon spots happening all the time.
I regret I bought that car.

Please check my complaint. It has been at the dealers 3 times. They would have found out if there was a differential issue.

Live in a nice area and do not drive in crappy roads.

You live in my area. Tell me if you have a C7 Corvette and if you have seen any spots on the trunk. There is no external cause for 2700 miles car.

The car has been checked and no leak or other leakage.

Then you have a tune problem running rich so the ECU floods with gas/fuel to your ratio if you say there is no leaks. Bring it to a tune shop just to see if it's out of whack. If it is don't fix it their bring the dyno sheet/receipt to dealer. Check your plugs too.

Mine does not do that, or maybe it does, and I can't see it because it is Cyber Grey.

It looks like exhaust deposits to me, what kind of fuel are you using? Maybe try a few tanks of a top-tier gasoline, and see if that makes any difference.

They are black carbon spots. They are not oily.

I always use Super 92 High Octane Gas. Don't go cheap on gas.

It cleans off right away when I apply detail spray. That is not my issue. The issue is that should NOT be happening.

Have you just driven around a new area to see if it happens on any road? check the sections below the valence right behind the tires, is it more concentrated? Show us the exhaust pipes, is it more concentrated?

I have seen that on my arctic white rear end and assumed it was just carbon deposits from the 4 pipes. It seemed to happen after being parked for several days to a week. Sometimes there are no spots. I'm not worried about it.

Mine's a 16 with about 4500 miles.

Lol your car is not a lemon... if your driving with the exhaust on sport of track mode it lets out a lot more soot then when driving in tour mode because the flaps are open. Get a damp rag clean it off and stop crying about it. If you really regret buying the car because of this issue sell it. I doubt GM will take it back because you are to lazy to clean it once in a while lol.

Did you put any fuel system additives/cleaners in the tank? I put a bottle of Chevron Techron in a car I had (a VW Golf R, relatively new at the time) and I started getting little black spots on the back of the car. It lasted for a while, then eventually stopped. I figured it was carbon deposits that were cleaned and shot out of the exhaust pipes.
