It's been a long time since I last posted. Recently I've been thinking of better ways to lift my vette for things like oil changes, and working underneath. I've lowered on stock bolts and cut a few bushings as well. I always spend far too long driving onto 2" X 10 " boards just to get it high enough to jack one side up at a time and then put the jack stands underneath simply for an oil change. There is limited space so I was thinking the Quick Jack BL-5000 might be a good alternative?
My question is for those that have used one, is there plenty of room to get underneath with a creeper and still have enough leverage to get at the oil drain plug? Right now it seems I whack my elbows and only have a few inches to get leverage.

I have a 5000 lb 12v one. It is great! Very easy to use, convenient. 2 heights. Highest is very easy to crawl around on your back under the car. Easy peasy oil changes.
I put some old carpet down under the car and can lay on my back almost straight armed. Highly recommended!

I just bought the 5000. If you call them instead of order online I got a $100 discount. I love mine. Plenty of room under for creeper and you. A little heavy to get situated correctly under car but I an old man. lol And I can use it on my other vehicles. Best 1240 I ever spent and that covered tax and shipping. I live in Illinois they in California. Ordered on a Friday and got the next wednesday
I've been hearing a lot of good comments about the Quick Jack lately. I think this is something I am going to have to look into.
I have been looking at the MaxJax, it has some obvious advantages but the increased cost of the product and the additional cost of any concrete work for the mounting pads are significant over the Quick Jack. I don't intend on constant major mods (most already done) so my needs are more for oil changes, brake maintenance, wheel removal for tire changes or cleaning etc. The Quick Jack may be a less expensive option and functionally all I would need.
My Quickjack arrived last weekend. I bought the 3500 it was simple to set up and works great. It is a lot more stout than it looks. It was on sale plus I got another $100 off from a promotional code I saw on a tv commercial. It also stores under my c5 when I am not using it.
I made some spacers to locate the rubber pads on the 5000 jack since my car is lowered with wide ground effects; once the jack is positioned, the pads always line up. Some caster wheels were added to the pump.
I wonder if there is enough interested for a group discount? I'm not sure if I'm ready just yet, but I definitely would like one. I know with a garage ceiling height of just under 10 feet, I can't put in a 4 post lift!

I am lowered on coilovers and still have to drive on 2x10s in order to get quick jack and pucks under the car. BTW instructions also mention to avoid raising the car from the lowest jack position.
