Best Heads for my LS2...
Is the Trick Flow 225 still the best cylinder head for an LS2?
There are a few new players in the market now. Mast Black Label, Dart Pro, Trick flow 255, Mamo 220...
Which cylinder head would you use for maximum horsepower?

I believe the MMS 223 is based on the Trick Flow 220 as Cast. His CNC'd 220 is based on an AFR head. I read that Tony says his 220 will make more power than the 223.
The Trick Flow 225 will make more power than the Trick Flow as Cast 220.
Just trying to gather more info on the "cream of the crop" heads...

I went with TF As Cast 220's from Brian Tooley, he also port matched my Fast intake. I picked up just over 50 rwhp putting me at 503 to the tires. Cam specs were 235/239 on a 112

If you look at the fast list on the stock bottom end LS2 Stanger 383 he was running CNC SD performance LS3 heads and a 23X-24X cam The proof is in the pudding so in my opinion I would go with the LS3 heads preferably the 255 trick flows. I'm with Boost on this.

The silver car is an LS2 powered auto TFS 225 head equipped.
The Red car is an LS2 powered manual LS3 Head equipped.
Problem is this, we have both spent small fortunes on multiple sets of high end wheels to achieve the look we both desire.
We are both broke and can't afford gas money to get to the track!

The Trickflows are tried and true options for sure. We've had a lot of luck with the 225cc MAST Black Label heads, and I especially like them if you plan to go with a 6-bolt block engine down the road or some kind of forced induction due to their standard 6-bolt pattern and thicker deck surface. They really shine in the meat of the curve, but usually squeeze out a bit more power over Trickflows on cars that I've tested both on. The only down fall is a bit more initial cost and the fact of needing LS3 rockers.
I'm a dealer for either if you're interested in pricing and I'll be happy to assist! There is always the option of LS3 heads as well depending on your goals and if you're willing to change your intake...
