Best Tire Sizes on OEM C5 Z06 Rims
I've been reading everywhere that moving the fronts up to 275/40/17 and keeping the rear's the same size will give you more options, but according to tirerack that gives me zero options. The stock sizes gives me 2 options, the overpriced OEM's and the Re760's which I don't believe are aggressive enough for this car. Has tirerack discontinued a bunch of tires that use to work for this car? The car is only driven on the street, but still aggressively and will not see rain. I still want a fairly decent tread life while being more aggressive than the RE760's. What sizes and tires do you guys recommend and where can I buy them? Tirerack seems pretty useless for this car from what I'm seeing.

Look up Michelin and Toyo Proxes T1...

What sizes and where? Tirerack I don't believe even carries Toyo, and a service rep just told my they don't make tires in those 2 sizes anymore, only options I have are the 2 in the OEM sizes which are not good IMO.

The NT05's are an excellent performance tire, it's a 200 treadware so you're not going to get as many miles out of them as your average street tire. I've gotten close to 10k out of them so far, mine is primarily a weekend driver and I tend to drive it pretty aggressively. A stickier 140 treadware version is now available as well. Would not recommend these as a year round tire, not good in temps below 40, just 'OK' in the rain. Most shops will include new valvestems with a new tire install, I would recommend them.

Proxes T1 sport is available in factory Z sizing, as are the Michelin noted above (or at least they were). That and the Supercar and Bridgestone (Continental still?) are the only I'm aware of.

I'll buy them from anywhere that has good prices. So after reading up on the Nt05's I think I want something I'll get a little more life out of, while not sacrificing too much on the performance. What do you guys recommend that has the sizes I need? Anyone know anything about the Continental EXTREMECONTACT SPORT? Tread wear looks pretty damn good at 340. Would this one grip good too?

I found that when I was shopping on Tire Rack I had to look at just my front tire size and then look at just the rear tire size. For some reason when you try to look at both at the same time it wouldn't show all the tire options available.

Nitto NT05's in 275-40/17 and 295-35/18. Got from Discount Tire less than $800 for the set shipped. Weekend sunny day car so not concerned with wet weather. Mileage rating is low but you trade that for grip.
Good luck!

Drifting
I run nitto nt05 275/40/17 up front and nitto nt05r 285/40/18 in rear. I need the drag radials all the time as I've got an a&a kit and the car is making 650 rwhp. I love this set up. Weekend warrior as well with occasional 1/2 mile event and 1/4 mile strip...

Melting Slicks
I went with stock sizes. I recently put Toyo Proxes T1's front and rear and I really like them. Not the best tire out there for dry traction however they are all around a fantastic tire. Priced very well also.

295/35-18 rear
I couldn't find NT05's or anything else I see recommended. I got Michelin PS2's. I've had them on another car before so I know they are a good tire. I got them from Costco. Great warranty on top of factory.
