Default WING at the RING '18 ZR1!!!!

I think you will also find this interesting, after we broke the story for you on the BRAKE CALIPER COLOR ( ZR1 Blue) and the Gas Guzzler R8E (ZR1) in the GM ordering system for dealers, hummm magically, that is gone.....just sayin'

THANKS TO AUTOBLOG, we have some sweet shots of the ZR1 at the Ring right now;

Rick's always first with the scoops. I was going to buy an 05 C6 until Rick announced during the C6 Z06 introduction at the 2005 Detroit Auto Show that the Z06's steering wheel would replace the weird 05 wheel when the 06s started in production. I waited and got an 06 from Rick and my 16Z from him, too. So here's a late thanks for that and a new thanks for this info.

VERY kind words sir.....we have to be careful, OUT OF REPSECT TO GM and the team what we post and when....

I am so THANKFUL to those that have had conversations with us as we share the same thrill and passions for this car. I respect their wishes every time we speak.....

Great to see such a huge future for a car once execs wanted to end...craziness!

Probably won't even go for a fast lap for a few weeks.

If it didn't have camo people would just think it's just another Z06 with a aftermarket wing and not the ZR1. They camo for attention and it works!

How about the new feature that allows the license plate to flip down to a horizontal position when you push the hatch release button on the dash.

Then the license plate becomes a step so you step up and can reach over the wing to put something in or to get something out of the rear cargo hatch.

Agreed. It might be hard to hoist my golf bag/clubs over that wing.

The wings can be switched out, and removed!

I get it, function over form, but damn...these giant wings (ACR, ZR1)look so dumb. I just can't get into that....and I am trying hard to like it. I want to like it.

Only GT3 RS wings look good. They are better integrated into body work of the car. This wing, and the ACR wind look so stupid that it would make me not want to drive the car on the street.

I hope they make it so you can bolt that thing off for street use...doubt it.

I agree with you about the wing. It does look dumb. Hopefully they will have a delete option so that those without track aspirations can still get the car and have it look more restrained and less like something from Fast and Furious.

Here is what the front looks like if you are curious.

There will be a wing delete option, it's called the Z06. It will be a good 20k cheaper too! Imagine how much wax and gaudy add ons that could buy!

Earlier test/mule pics showed both a high wing and a low wing.

Probably will be able to get either.
