And now this.......?
First I was mad at myself for not realizing my $80k+ pickup only had a single disc CD player.
And now this...?!?!
Zero CD player on a CE GS...?
Please pass the bourbon...............

I was hoping this would be on the option sheet for my new C7...but alas, it was nowhere to be found...not sure what to do about my vinyl collection...

Get yourself a USB thumb drive (like $20) or a used iPod for your music.
A little learning curve, yes, but then you'll never want to go back to limiting yourself to just playing what's on a single CD.

If you think that's bad Sarge, wait til you figure out that Craftsman timing gun you have is absolutely useless on this car.

So your battery goes dead one day, as they all do, and you need to get in the car to pop the hood for a jump. The key is no where to be found, there is no key hole in the door. If you were lucky enough to have left the car unlocked, you open the hood to find out the battery is missing.

There Be Dragons
The day my 2009 (twice upgraded) c6 nav disc stopped giving directions when I turned onto the state road that went past the 50 YEAR OLD House that eventually became my home; stating "WARNING! THERE BE DRAGONS BEYOND THIS POINT!" I realized GM was helplessly antiquated in the technology department. That's a good thing when you are talking about big block 427 pushrod engines making whoopee horsepower; not so cool for music or navigation.
Enter the cellphone and bluetooth. Goodbye to the GM annual $300 upgrade nav disc. Goodbye to the 70 minute CD disc, cd "wallets", jammed and unplayable CD's in the machine, and "wonder if GM will ever make a mp3 decoder stereo?"
Now it is up-to-the-minute real-time navigation, traffic reports and best route mapping around accidents, courtesy of my cell phone,
Now it is streaming audio from a zillion channels off the internet through the cellphone; or 128mb chipped cellphones making hours and hours and hours long drive "tapes" of my favorite songs (like "radar love") for those endless road trips.
GM - Don't add the weight of a cd/dvd player or even hard drive to my ride. Just install a good amp, subwoofer and nice speakers - ABB please (Anything But Bose) and give me more USB jacks!
And sirius...siriusly? Let's take a drive on the blue ridge parkway in the fall and count how many times the sat signal drops out from passing under the colorful foliage. sooo old school.

I guess it wouldn't be too bad if there was a place inside the C7 to put a CD player, but there isn't (thanx GM).
