Default Age old ? What exhaust to run

i know this is nothing new on this forum. I blew out the factory ti exhaust. It reverbs in the car rear bad rattles etc. (two step). Looking at magnaflow, billyboat, borla. Looks like everybody is running corsa. Leaning toward magnaflow. Don't want it too loud.

For me,
The Magnaflow has a nice, somewhat deep, tone at idle, relatively quiet ar cruise - no drone, and opens up nicely when you're on it. Cans/mufflers are compact and tuck up nicely. The center bridge/bracket maintains alignment too. The downside, very heavy (as if it matters), and the over axle pipes are poorly built (seams and welds inside, not very smooth).
The Corsa Touring are nice, but the cans are big, and can't be completely tucked in/up.
Mid-America system nice fit and finish, but sounds too much like a Mustang GT for me.
Borla "straight's" sound like an unmuffled Cummins, (to me), no thanks...
Stock Ti's, a bit quiet, but nice WOT.
For mine, crummy XS Power's 😊😊 , just a bit on the loud side, but a tight, exotic "rip"/scream at WOT...VERY addictive!!! Reasonable, size, weight, execution - I like it
YMMV, fwiw, my car is FI with American LT's

Highly recommend Corsa. They have the best quality and overall sound, hands down. I've installed every imaginable exhaust on Corvettes for customers like it's my job because it is my job lol.

stay stock or go corsa. they make various levels of loudness. you don't have to get the "wake the neighbors" system

there is non drone which is one of their major selling points

If you want to sound better than stock but dont want it too loud get Magnaflow or Billy Boat Route 66

Thanks everyone. Looks like I'm gonna go with magna flow axle back. Have kooks long tubes no cats. I would stay with factory ti if I hadn't blown one up with backfire. I will post video with magnaflows

Long tubes and no cats really change the sound of an exhaust system. I recently swapped out my stock Ti for a Corsa pace car system and while it sounds really good, I find it a bit loud and unrefined. I currently run LG Pro Longtubes and no cats, looking at adding the LG high flow cats at this time to reduce exhaust smell and clean up the exhaust note. I'd like to drive my car more but with my job I cannot be stinking like exhaust.

you honestly want the whole catback. the magnaflow xpipe not only affects sound but gains you a few hp

If you don't have headers yet could always look into either a) putting $$$ toward headers & catted or catless X & Kooks makes a axlebacks that mate up to their headers & mids.....a full kooks system would be pretty badass IMO

Don't want to be real loud. I have long tubes (kooks). This car is not a daily driver. It might see 800 miles a year.

If you are looking for a nice rumble that is deep at idle and stays that way from idle through full throttle give flowmasters a listen. I have no drone and they have nice stainless exhaust tips.

I know it's not a popular system in the corvette community but check out the Hooker Aerochamber axleback. They have a very smooth deep tone. It is somewhat mellow as far as loudness but a really great tone, they flow very well also. I had the catback on my ls1 trans am and loved it. If you want something louder than stock but not real loud check it out. Compared to other axle back systems its priced pretty cheap.. somewhere around $700

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on an exhaust as well. I had the Corsa on my 99 and liked it. I had assumed someone was going to say Borla?

I looove my Borla Atak exhaust but the OP mentioned he didn't want anything loud. The Borla touring system might be fitting.
