Need pointers to A8 rants

Need pointers to A8 rants
I am looking for a 2015 A8 coupe in Denver, CO.
I drove one and wasn't happy with the A8 but am not sure if it represents the problems people refer to or was a defective car.
I like the 2014 A6 but don't know what I'm missing.
I'd go with a M7 if the wife could reach all the pedals and the shifter properly. She gets all racked up moving the seat up so far that she has to reach back to the shifter. Bummer. We may try again...
I have searched for 30 minutes trying to find the A8 rant threads and don't find them.
Can someone give me a link or a decent search term since A8, automatic transmission and others don't seem to find the common problems with that transmission?
Your help is appreciated.
Thanks,
BannonB

Taking thill444's suggestion, this will do the search for you: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=C7+automatic+pr...vetteforum.com
Wait a few seconds after the demo and you'll get the search results.

Thanks everyone.
I saw that there were some issues, but largely appear to be a thing of the past.
I just bought a 2016 3LT/Z51 Auto Coupe, Racing Yellow Tintcoat with 2100 miles. More than I thought I'd spend, but it's basically a new car with someone else paying for depreciation.

Actually, no. It works great on the track until it overheats (I have 2015 without the secondary cooler). All of the problems have been low speed (1-2 shift), and shifting into 1/R/D. After 18+ months of headaches, they finally replaced the whole thing. Much better now, but still messes up low speed shifts more than any other transmission I've ever had.

All my past Vettes have been Manuals including a 14' and 15' Z51.
For my 16' Z06 I decided to try the A8 as it's faster in stock form and I though I would enjoy the change living in the Washington DC area with traffic all over.
About 10K miles on the Z06 I came to the realization that I was wrong, I regret getting the A8! It takes the enjoyment out of the car and just boring at times. The Paddles shifter delay is terrible, granted it's only like 2 seconds but it's annoying. When I click on the paddle I want the damn thing to shift.
As far as issues with my A8, I haven't had any real issues but when starting from cold it "slips into" reverse and it also bangs into 2nd at low speed which I've read is "normal"
That said, my next Vette will be a manual again!

That's Awesome the car is under warranty and your wife is happy, sounds like a win win to me. Should the trans give you any guff at all, take it to the service dept straight away and get it on record! I have a '15 Z51 that just rolled passed 46K (two years old next month) on my way out to the NCM Bash. If you want to call it an issue, the only problem I have had is getting it to re-learn street shifting after I have spent a couple of days on the track in "M" mode. I've had the car re-flashed twice and will probable have it do again as soon as I get back for this trip (doing a little HPDE work while at the Bash) and even though I'm way over my 36K warranty, I've already checked with my service guy, they will flash it again at no cost to me.
I have been a major gear jammer with all previous sports cars and honestly, I don't miss the 3 peddles. I drove down this morning from Marion'IL through some awesome two lane Corvette roads to the Museum. It is so nice to bang gears (even in corners) without moving my hands off the wheel and without unsettling the car. I doubt that I will ever go back to a manual.
Enjoy your new ride
