2016-154 miles front tires skip when turning hard
Backing out of or turning out where your turning the steering wheel either left or right it is like I have my 2016 auto trans in 4wd is that normal? It feels as though it is bad way of putting this skipping jumping the front tires when turning hard at low speeds.
Thanks in advance

Don't turn the steering wheel quite to full lock and you can avoid it most of the time.

there is a name for it but basically the inside of your tire has a different velocity than the outside during a turn thus causing it to skip. The wider/stickier the tire the more you notice.

Well there's your problem. Don't run your Z06 in 4WD! At least unlock the hubs
Pretty sure this issue wins for "Most asked FAQ"! Should be a sticky or whatever the modern equivalent of that is...

Mine does it in rain too. My C6Z did it too on the OEM tires. It's the stupid run crap with those brick hard sidewalls that does it...
My C6Z ran Nitto's and that stopped it completely.

Our Z06 came with the front's camber set way more negative than spec. Corded the inside edge of both front tires in 5,000 miles. After reducing the camber to the low side of the factory spec, the skipping you mention is greatly reduced.
I suspect the skipping is on the inside edge of the tire.
The car also drives better, no longer hunts left/right with every little variation in the road surface. Getting your alignment checked is MUCH cheaper than replacing the tires.

My 2014 Z51 C7 Stingray did it when I got my car. I fixed the problem by getting Michelin AS3 Tires fixed the problem . However I will not be changing my tires on my new order Z06 when it comes in as I will just learn to live with it .

The term for it is "crow hopping". It comes about when the rubber is still cool/cold and you turn. Causes the (relatively) shallow treads to "slide" as the tire is turning. Kind of a little skid. As you warm up the tires, it goes away. Mid summer, assuming the temp is warm enough, you mostly won't have the issue.
