Doesnt adding a supercharger on a grand sport put you a short reach away from a Z06 without the warranty and longevity?

yep, gets you close to peak redline Z06 HP but the big difference is the torque curve. The Z has significantly more TQ on the streets 2000 to 4000 RPM where most folks drive. Didn't have a GS but a base stingray, with CAI, headers and a supercharger peak HP and TQ on a dyno hit stock Z06 numbers, the seat of the pants feel was the same until you really got on it then it was a blast.

If you add a few more mods, you can get much faster than a stock z06.

My car is significantly faster with a cam, meth, headers, and supercharger.
