Hi I'm new here and I need help...I had my car for almost a year now and I am most of the time I parked my car in the garage use it only for summer.2 months ago I start using my car and for some reason I was driving in the car stopped running to make the story short I made it home and then went to your Corvette forum and read and read so I'm thinking possible my locked ignition cylinder and the key pallet so I replaced them both.yesterday I drive my car and stop running again and I try to start it The dashboard start flicking gauges and showing low voltage, reduce power and showing codes c1243 and now first my start the ignition it will glitch the the dash girt then the second try will start.i don't really know where to start from here

Do you have the battery hooked up to a trickle charger like a Battery Tender when it is parked and not being used. A week battery will cause all sorts of electrical havoc.

Start with a test of your battery and if its good then a full charge of your battery... not a car charge but with a battery charger. If the symptoms stop... you know you just had low voltage. If they dont go away, come back and tell us.

Charge your battery. If you don't have a battery charger then have your battery tested by an auto parts store and have them charge it or replace it if needed. If the battery's date stamp shows it is over 4 or 5 years old you might as well replace it regardless. Then purchase a battery tender and keep it charging when not in use.

Sounds like a weak battery.

Does sound like you have a battery problem. Regardless of what you need to do, if you are not going to drive the car but every once and a while, invest in a battery tender and keep the battery connected to ensure it has a full charge when you need it.

I hope it is your battery. Easy fix. But going forward why not drive your car 12 months of the year? Not saying to drive when the bad stuff is on the road. But at least once a week, try to drive for at least 20 miles. A great uplift in the winter and let your alternator do the charging.

Okay good, btw you may want to look into getting a battery tender plus for when the car is sitting for any length of time like others have said. I have and use two of these myself. You can also get them at Walmart and on Amazon for under $50.00
