Not sure, but it looks similar to the fob that was part of an antitheft device we had installed in our 2005 Monte Carlo when we bought it new. The second part was a chip they installed in the fuse box under the hood. Can't remember the name, but it was supposed to prevent the car from starting unless the fob was within a few feet of the vehicle.

It's not OEM. Went with something that a previous owner added to the car, but can't help you with what it was. Maybe someone else can help.

Need to see the other side. Could be an extra car alarm like a motion or a shock sensor. I put a motion sensor on my vert and had an extra fob for it. Could also be a home alarm remote too. I would guess an extra alarm, have you tried it to see if you get another alarm light flashing or try bumping the car or reaching in a window when it's on?

Take it to a car place that installs alarms they might know and have to check the battery on it to. Some have a little light on them when you push the button it shows its working.

I have one on mine as well. You can have it activated in your name for $200. Have not really looked into it further.......

Forget LoJack. I installed an old Android phone, hardwired in a hidden place with a $3/month data plan.

My car goes missing and I'll use Googles services to locate it.

This lojack system also disables the car when it gets a certain distance from the fob as well as sending you instant alerts when you car moves without the fob. (Depending on plan you have).
