Default aint this the sh*ts

was out of town a couple of days and left the vette out. some big a$$ birds dumped on her and left their mark. washed the car this morning only to find this damage. isn't this just wonderful...

Had that happen while I was standing right next to the car. Just came back from a drive and got out of the car to open the garage door. It was mid-summer Texas and it was HOT outside and the paint was hot too. Before I got the garage door open, SPLAT!Damn near in that exact same spot as the photo above. Got the hose and went to wash it off and it had already turned the clear coat hazy! I'd hate to see what would have happened if I had left it on there, Not sure what kind of bird it was, but that turd was like the blood from that freakin' Alien movie!

original paint. two spots, one below the emblem and the other on top of the passenger fender.

I guess you're lucky it was just the clear-coat, no? I don't have a clear coat on my Z since it was last painted (a new Du Pont paint), But, the other cars ARE clear coated. So! I'm gonna camp on this post to see what the fix was...

I wonder if the clear coat was thin from being buffed or washed and waxed and such over the years. That's horrible man. I'm sorry to see that.
