15" conversion while retaining base fenders?
I know I'm very much in the minority, but I like the look of my base model/narrow body C6. That being said, as I've started adding power I feel that the need for a 15" conversion for the rear wheels will come sooner or later.
Has anyone ever done the 15" conversion for the rear spindles WITHOUT going with a wider rear fender? It could be coincidence, but I haven't seen a narrow body with it done yet.
Thanks in advance!

Seen it done. The conversion doesn't really care about the fenders. Only thing that may limit is the tire/wheel size.

I'd just stack 2x 2" spacers on an 8" wide rim. Hell you got a truckload of those Chinese spacers

It's going to be tough myself and Last 1 just spoke this morning on the topic. He feels the only way is to run a 255 tire on a 9.5 rim.

I'm going through this right now and just killed my brand new 275/60/15 pro radials. I have the vitesse 15x10 with 7.5 bs. I just got them on and cruised the car 3 miles. Every bump I saw smoke and rubber fly. I'm thinking about dropping Down to a 255/60/15 Or changing to 17s. I don't want wide body and love my 15s.
Any help or ideas? I have saw some people run bias ply street slicks because it naturally has less bulge/section width and the tread fits up in the wheel well.

Any pictures of them mounted? Maybe you could raise the car just a bit or stiffen the rear

spacers ftw. I ran into the issue that my car had the aftermarket extra wide fenders, which are roughly 2 inches wider than the z06 configuration, so the Z06 BS wasnt right. Had to eat up the gap with some spacers. Has been fine so far haha.

I have heard that you can adjust the wheels in a touch with alignment adjustment, but i highly doubt that will be enough to help me. If you look at my picture, the rim actually is flush with the fender. The section/bulge width is the is the problem, I'm thinking a 255/60/15 drag radial. The 255 mickey measures 1 inches less tread and 1 inch less bulge than the 275/60/15. 275/60/15 = 28.2 tall 11.1 section/bulge 9.3 tread and the 255/60/15= 27.3 tall 10 section/bulge 8.8 tread.

Nice wheels! Same set I was looking at. I'm almost thinking that unless you go to an 26inch tire....those 15x10s may not tuck in.....26s may stick stick out but shouldn't rub fenders..

That's a beautiful setup, hopefully you can dial it in and get it to tuck better for your sake. I would be interested in seeing how the smaller tire would work out on the rear. Any concerns with sacrificing traction with that solution? What's your power level? If you don't mind me asking. I'm on a 305/45R17 with a 17x10.5" Weld and it tucks well, but it would be nice to shave weight going to a 15x10 if the traction was similar.
