I have been thinking about using this oil over Mobil 1. Eneos Sustina is a GF5 rated oil which is outstanding but I am not familiar with the Dexos stamp and why it is so important.

Thoughts?

Doesn't matter how or why, only matters that Dexos is required to maintain your warranty, so you need to keep receipts for enough Dexos to do you oil changes if questioned.

So no, I can't imagine why you'd use it over Mobil 1 unless it were free or something... even then, I'd pay for Mobil1 (or any other Dexos oil) until my warranty was up.

If I were to change over to anything other than Mobil1, it would be Royal Purple..

I don't find any virgin oil analysis on the Eneos Sustina, on bobistheoilsguy.com or anyone posting a used oil analysis either.

Eneos advertising notwithstanding, without several Blackstone or Dyson oil analysis reports from some real world users, all you have is unsupported opinion + advertising. I do not vote to use that oil for any reason!

If you want to get a readily available oil that shows great oil analysis numbers grab the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum at Wallyworld. If you want to step up to a boutique oil, look no further than one of these: Redline, Amsoil, Motul, and Joe Gibbs Driven.

Stay away from Royal Purple until someone using it can post an oil analysis that doesn't suck with RP in a late model GM engine.

From a standard perspective, it appears ENEOS is a superior oil. Moreover, if you guys read my signature, you'd see my warranty is gone anyway lol. That said, I haven't purchased ENEOS yet nor would I define it as a "boutique" style oil.

If you guys want to check out tested ENEOS oil samples, visit some of the Subaru forums where it is widely used. I just thought I'd introduce a new option as well.
