Default Foot falling asleep at the wheel

My foot is going numb while on the gas. Is it the seat, the mat or old age?

First sign of Old Age
Try tipping your seat forward a little

Probably the seat bolster. First try removing your wallet, if you carry it in your right rear pocket, and see if that helps.

Lots of people complaining about the seat bolsters being too stiff and causing them problems.

Try Cruise Control - all the kids are using it!

My suggestion also.

No way I'm gonna say you're old brother. More mature maybe, but not old.

Just have the misses reach across the center console and. . . . . .

Your foot won't fall asleep anymore. And if it does, you won't care.

Use your infinite adjustable power seat and reposition the seat from time to time as I drive. I do this on almost every trip. I use the seat preset setting as position 0. You can select the preset position at any time.

Just did a 1900 mile round-trip to MD from FL. The only time I got a cramp was after being unable to use cruise between Richmond and D.C. Rained like crazy! I never put my wallet in a back pocket anymore either.

If you carry a wallet in your right rear pocket, try taking it out.

After a long drive, like 4,5 hours the next day my right ankle would kinda hurt. And it lasts awhile! does this happen to you guys?

I am thinking maybe the right foot area is kinda weird angle or something so the foot ends up in a weird position. Because I don't have this problem in other cars. This kind of worries me in long drives, sometimes it hurts for 3 days!

Drink more water!

If you drink enough, you will be forced to have pit stops more often, which will not only keep you more alert, but will allow your entire body to "reset."

At the average Corvette-owning age, that usually becomes necessary for males without more water.

Women aren't immune to that, either.

Relax The Back store has a seat bottom cushion insert for roughly $ 150 that really cushions out the effect of those seat bottom bolsters that cut into your butt, for many of us. Does away with the numbness a lot of us run into, especially on long trips.

Just for grins, I took the insert out recently to compare it to the stock seat bottom and WOW what a difference. I love just about everything that my Stingray has to offer, EXCEPT the seat bottom. Fortunately for me, Relax The Back has a simple inexpensive solution that completely changes my daily driver experience.

IMHO, GM should change the C7 seat bottom design to what's offered in the Caddy ATS-V. Still a small seat, but it's comfortable, not like that poor design for many of our butts, that comes in the C7.

maybe that's the problem, driving for 3,4,5 hours and no stopping, no water. should at least hydrate.

Seriously....my online guess:

It is a nerve from your back traveling down your leg to your foot.
As oppose to your seating position cutting circulation.

All above posts offer guidance.
Remove items in your pants pockets.
Reposition steering wheel reach and angle.
Reposition seat bottom horizontal angle.
Reposition seat back vertical angle.
Reposition seat height.

Lumbar support air pressure options.
Driving shoes heel and ankle support options.
Aftermarket sheep skin support pillows (or like) options.

Altering your diving position every 15 minutes may help, but this will not aid in uncovering the "root" of your numbness.

Or quick answer to the OP question....Yes, old age.

That's my internet two cent advice.
Good luck.
