New version of C3 front control arms
Saw these on ebay.
I am looking for a pair of Van Steel upper control arms to match my front lowers (Van Steel - coil overs).
Anybody have any experience with these newer control arms?
They look like the C4 and later years versions.
They look a little pricey but they are new production so higher start up costs, I imagine.
Be interested in the CF opinion and feedback.

I don't know as I buy their cast vs. forged bs line. Lots of assuming going on there.

I am looking into those, also. They are made by Speed Direct. I'm liking the weight savings and better caster adjustability. Some folks question their sturdiness, but so far they've been around for 7 years without problems. Yes, pricey, but I'll probably end up choosing them.

I think I'll call Van Steel about using their tubular coil overs up top if they will work with what I already have.
Txs again everyone.....

Ordered my upper A-arms from Van Steel today.
The lowers I have will work with the QA1 coil-overs. Lowers were missing the c shaped clamp that holds the lower shaft in place. If you look at Van Steel's pics in their online catalog, you will see what I mean.
Emailed Dan and he set me up with uppers complete with delrin bushings and the replacement clamps for the lowers. I asked him to hold out the MOOG ball joints as I had a set already.
That with the CF discount came out to $750.
Boxed and ready to ship.
I like dealing with them.
Now I have all my suspension in sorted sundry pieces and places. Gary will have my differential to build and the bearing housings setup for the TA.
Now to get blasting and welding on the frame.

Not sure what you guys mean by these comments.....
Here is the full set up from Van Steel's site that I ended up with. Except that I bought mine in bits and pieces over the last year by buying from vendors who give discounts, sellers looking to unload pieces, etc.
http://www.vansteel.com/index.cfm?fu...p=3034&ID=2688
My total is $750 + $600 for the lowers + $475 for the QA1's = $1825
Plus $90 for the upper MOOG ball joints .......$1915
My momma said...."you gotta shop around"........lol
Plus we are always dealing with the "it's a Corvette" multiplying factor....same setup for a full body Caprice would be 2/3's the price.
Oh well.
Thanks again to Dan at Van Steel.....
