Mondays SUCK!
Just did a header and X pipe install over the weekend. I went with JBA and they fit very easily without any bending, beating, etc. I did have a problem getting the rear bolt in the drivers side header, had to remove all others and start with that one and then it went.
So, while it's on the lift I also do a Mobil1 oil change and load a Diablo 93 octane tune from a used unit I bought from a forum member here.
So last evening I button up the final few things and take it out for a spin, temps were in the low 50's. I cam up over a rise with a slight bend onto a long straight and gave it a bit of the tall pedal and before I knew it i was resting in a guys yard after taking out a few shrubs and hitting his wood pile. The car came to rest across a 3 foot deep drainage culvert.
I should have known better.....those tires suck in cooler temps and I added a few horses with the mods. If....and it's still a ?...I get the car repaired I will be changing those tires out ASAP! I don't know how anyone can drive on those things and want to install another set which the P.O. did only 4K ago.
My question is this, Should I take it to the dealer for repairs or will any reputable body shop be able to do the work? Anyone have any recommendations in the Lancaster, PA area?

Aw man that sucks. I got into mine a little in second gear yesterday with t/c on and it broke loose. About the same temp here. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

Enough to make a grown man cry.
Feel like **** looking at it, you're feeling even lower.
You knew better, don't care brand tire after 5K they all lose just enough grip at WOT to get in trouble fast, forgetabout TC/AC saving yer bacon too. Been there done that, got lucky. Could've easily went the other way.
At least you weren't hurt, quite a ride OOC down a hill into a wood pile.
IF damage is confined to front fender/light bucket w/ no frame damage?
Could be put back together like new w/o any drama.
G/L & post how this gets resolved, or not.

That sucks mightily, but I gotta say... that first picture is f'n spectacular!
Don't know how things are in PA, but out here in CA I'd steer you away from a dealership's body shop and toward one that specializes in higher-end stuff. IMO they'll be more familiar pleasing picky customers.
Drag about the car!

Ouch!!! Sorry man, that sucks big time. Depending on the dealer, they may have a good body shop, or they may send it out to have it repaired. I would do a lot of shopping around before making a decision. Hope you have good insurance. My guess is adjuster will come out and tell you how much to repair.

This is what insurance is for. I would see what your options are for a body shop/repair place. I've never had good luck with the ones they typically try to push/recommend. Find a good one, and make sure they will pay for it.
If frame is damaged, or lots of mechanical, car could easily be totalled.

When i had mine last year I brought to a shop in town that was recommended by allstate. The parts were oem and the work was good. You might have tbl getting a fender as they are made by only one company now. They make just so many parts then thats it. That fender is carbon fiber and mine was $2700. I think the hood is cf also. The whole thing makes you want to bang your head against a wall. At least no one was hurt. In the end although its your baby...its just a car. Good luck

If you were close I would give you a hood for almost nothing, but no way I'm shipping a hood. I have a silver hood just sitting around doing nothing.

Damn that's too bad but accidents happen. Good luck on your decision.

In looking at the pictures, with the drivers side headlight sitting the way it is, you will need both wheel houses along with both front fenders. Aftermarket front fenders (in fiberglass not carbon fiber) are available but finding wheel houses for a GS,Z06 or ZR-1 will be difficult. Even if the frame is not bent, it might get totaled for lack of OEM parts. Most of these are damaged on the right front so finding good used parts is probably not a option.
If you can't live without this particular car you could check the insurance auctions for flood cars to part out for body parts you need and sell off the rest of the body parts you don't need. There is a couple on Copart that look to have been flooded over the roof with certificates of destruction that should sell real cheap because they can never be re-titled.
