Default Z06 seam tears in seats

Hey guys,

3,000 miles on my z06 and I noticed both seats are ripping at the first seam closest to dash on seat bottom. Has anyone had any issues with their seats ripping?

You might smell something else if the OP farted into the seat.

It should be a warranty item - they'll just order new covers as long as it does not appear to be owner caused.

Sounds like a trip to the dealer is in your future. Good luck.

So the dealer said they want them to get worse before they will warranty! What a joke....I will keep an eye on the seam over the summer and take it in before storage if its worsens

That's past a joke, and went right into the BS territory. Hard to believe they think it's going to fix itself, and that you're OK with torn/worn seats in a new Corvette. If possible take her to another dealer, and tell your old one to pound sand right after you talk with the General Manager.

I'm usually a guy that will try to work with a dealer, but this instance wouldn't be one of those times. This dealer is just to far out in left field.
