17k miles in one year, in photos
Well, it's been just a tick over year since I bought my Z06 and it just turned 17k miles. No, it's not my daily driver, it's my road trip car, and it's without a doubt the most fun I have ever had.
This car has taken me all over the Western US and a little of Canada covering the following, but the memories have been amazing.
Mount Rainier NP, WA
Cannon Beach, OR
Crater Lake, OR
Whistler, BC
Yellowstone NP, WY
Grand Tieton NP, WY
Arches and Canyonlands NP, UT
Cedar Breaks NM, UT
Capital Reef NP, UT
Bryce Canyon NP, UT
Zion NP, UT
Grand Canyon NP, AZ
Sedona, AZ
Jerome, AZ
Las Vegas, NV
Valley of Fire, NV
Lake Tahoe, CA/NV
Boise, ID x2
Bend, OR
Monterey and Carmel for Car Week, CA
And multiple trips to just about everywhere in Washington State, where I'm from.
Crater Lake, OR
Yellowstone
Vantage Overlook, WA
Camping in Moab, UT
Grand Tieton, WY
Yellowstone
Bryce Canyon
Wanapum Dam overlook, WA
Driving through Zion, UT
Zion NP, UT
HWY 26, outside Washtucna, WA

Great pictures. They are more fun driving great roads than sitting in a garage. You are getting your money's worth.

The waxer's will be here shortly concerned with the amount of chips you have in your paint. These cars are meant to be driven. I daily drive mine (rain or shine) and use it for business travel.

I only have 2-3 really tiny ones actually. Got the whole thing covered in XPEL about 3 days after I bought it, but the splitter took a few hard stone hits. Still, only a couple of tiny marks thanks to the XPEL and no cracks. I've had a few tiny chips in the windshield, but filled them almost immediately and they're not even noticeable unless you know where to look. Also put on OEM mud guards, which by themselves aren't very effective, but combined with the XPEL they actually do fairly well.

I've got a sister in Maryland, so that's actually in the works. I'm going to go across the top, visit family in Minnesota along the way, and hit the Lobster fest. Then it's down to Maryland and continuing all the way down to the Florida Keys, then doing the whiskey tour in the south. I'm not retired, but I do accumulate a lot of vacation so I have to be very careful how I plan my time and my trips, but I certainly make the most of them.

Those are postcard pictures. You could easily make a calendar from them since they are that good. A C7 corvette in the most beautiful places in the world (IMO anyway), it doesn't get any better than that. Cheers
