Paint Protection

i had the same question several months back and did as much research on this subject as possible. Both are very good. What I eventually came up with....Suntek has a slight bit better light refraction than the Xpel Ultimate. Very difficult to determine, but I'm told it is a bit brighter. Ultimate is a tougher product than Suntek. If your looking to minimize the stone chip issues, Ultimate is the better product. I got the Ultimate and am thrilled. Can't imagine how the Suntek product could shine any better. Good luck with your decision!

I think your first choice should be finding the best installer in your area and using their preferred film, unless they use both. There are lots of xpel fans on this site.

Xpel
Just had the front end wrapped yesterday with Xpel. Find the best installer and if it is a rather low price, walk away. Xpel professionals are fully trained and offer a guarantee. The person that did mine was done to perfection, not one mistake that I could find. He did offer a military discount or repeat customer discount. Taking my 2017 ZL1 in on Friday. Price after discount $1824.00

^ Thanks Tom, Forgot to mention I am doing the pillars . Doing everything but the upper doors, rear fenders, and rear trunk hood and bumper. I do not want them to remove front crossed flag emblem as I would rather have them get the film as close to the emblem as possible.Dave

Just had Suntek Ultra installed. 10yr warranty, looks amazing. Did full front, from the doors forward, rockers, front and back of rear fenders. $2,200. Not cheap, but they did an amazing job.

I agree that price is great for all of your coverage. Mine is a little less but not as much coverage as yours but using Xpel Ultimate.

The best advice I can chime in with is, go pro with the wrap. Suntek or Xpel are the best way to go there, depending on what the installer you chose works with most. Then coat it with a ceramic coating yourself, with a brand new wrap that's just gonna be a breeze and it's going to up the protection, looks, and longevity of the wrap beneath so much.

My installer offered both Xpel and LLumar. I left the decision up to them (the professionals), and since my Z06 is black, they went with LLumar, because they said it looks best with black paint (makes the black look better).
I agree - it looks great!
