A wheel made using a 1967 spoke assembly will not fit on a 1966 column without modification. The 67 bell was changed with a cast relief to accommodate the "stepped" spoke design of the 1967 wheel where the lower spoke overlaps the center and two horizontal spokes.

unless it was custom made there is no such thing as a 67 teak wheel. and as said about 67+ wheels have a step in the bottom spoke and thus the hub has a relief made to mate the step. 63-66 hubs and wheels are flat

I think all you need is the "C" shaped spacer on this Ididit adapter.http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1963-1968.html

I also was looking at installing a C3 wheel on my 66. Are you saying that just using the spacer in the pic won't work to create a relief for the C3 type wheel?

That's not a spacer. That acts like a factory hub on the aftermarket column. If you want to run a 67+ wheel on your 67 your going to have to mill out your factory hub.

Just get an after market wheel like a Grant #930. Looks like stock and bolts right up, no mods.

It fits 63 to 66 hubs perfectly, has a spacer to fill in the slot on the 67 hub.

This spacer is what I was talking about in post #5 & #7. Not the whole column adapter.

that is not whats in your first link. but yes you need the "C" shaped spacer to use a 63-66 wheel on a 67+ hub

I have one of these hubs, for my tilt column, and they do come with a spacer that will work on a stock 63-66 hub. The spacer is the part that makes the horseshoe shape on the hub pictured. I used the spacer only on a stock hub 65.

The crude drawing of the spacer alone in post #10 is mine. I made and used this spacer before I got the the one on the Ididit hub. It also works.

Strange coincidence but just today I contacted Ididit and asked if I could purchase a spacer by itself, no hub. They said yes. I ordered a couple in "raw' finish. Not sure what I will get but they are on the way.

Tom
