YeeeeeeeeHHHHHHAAAAAAA!!!!!!
I - AM - SO - HAPPY!!!!! I've just gone from 3 year Lurker to new Owner!!!!
As many of you can probably remember the 1st time you saw, drove, or bought a Corvette I can assure you that is how I feel right now!
I want to thank the owners, moderators, members, sponsors, advertisers, and all other contributors to this forum! Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! If it wasn't for all of you and the time you've spent on this forum, I would not have learned so much including learning of MacMulkin, who made it possible for me to promptly order and receive this beautiful machine, or Intercity who delivered it right to my driveway. (Of course I also must thank "The Mrs." and others but they'll probably not see this post.) I'll even thank GM engineers and management and the UAW. Without all of them, this car would not even exist. (And, I take back a lot of the bad things I've said through the years about federal Republicans and Democrats LOL because if they hadn't restarted GM, there might not be a C7 for me to buy! )
I've learned so much about Corvette over the last few years from all the contributors here. I've read every post in the C7 General section since finding Corvetteforum.com . I've celebrated along with you, laughed along w/you - and seen you argue with each other LOL. If it wasn't for all of you, I wouldn't not have learned so much so fast. You've saved me from mis-steps I might have taken otherwise with regard for what to buy, where to buy, and even when to order. I look forward to helping other people in the same ways.
My story begins in the fall of 2014 when I was in the passenger seat of a sedan being driven by a car salesman from a neighboring state who came to my state to pick me up and was taking me to get a new truck from his dealership's stock when we were passed by what I soon learned was a 2014 VY C7. What a beautiful car! Although I'd always admired corvettes and driven a few, the combination of practicality, price, looks, reliability, etc., - plus my stage of life - were all never aligned such that I decided to own one - until the C7.
Over the last few days I have put 200 awesome, fun-filled miles on this TR GS M7 3LT Kalahari w/Comp Seats. What a beautiful car! What a fun car to drive! I'm just now taking time to register and share my excitement with you and give you my sincere thanks.
I gotta' go right now but I'll post again later today if i can - and with photos!
Thank you all again!

Welcome to the forum and....let's see some pictures!
I really wish I'd seen this forum before I bought my first Corvette 13 years ago. Not knowing much, i went to a local dealer and saw a used Torch Red C5, test drove it, and bought it that same day. No research, no shopping around, no nothing. It was a good car, but I wish I'd known more about it than I did at the time. Looking back on the experience, I'd never had bought that particular car had I done a proper search as I did for my 2nd and 3rd Vettes. There were a couple of things I'd not have accepted.
Good for you for finding this place before getting your first one. Now go out and enjoy it...

Congrats! We all learn a lot from the Forum! No better source of info or educated guesses to a problem or feature!

Congratulations! Be safe with your new-found power & don't forget to wave.
As a footnote: To MHE-Plex and everyone else on here, I find it so cool how you can feel this new owner's excitement about acquiring his/her first Corvette. We have all been there and it just emphasizes what a special car this is. I highly doubt there is this much joy happening on the Honda Accord forum.

Congrats from a fellow Hoosier! I too just joined the Corvette family and picked up my first Corvette 11 days ago. Also a GS but in Watkins Glen Grey. 600 miles logged in 11 days!
Enjoy the ride!
