Default Dog slobber streaks on dash

I've tried warm water, warm water with Dawn dish detergent, various interior cleaners and nothing seems to really work. It looks good while everything is wet, but once dried, those shiny streaks show up again against a flat black finish.

any ideas?

Put some peanut butter on the dash and let the dog lick the slobber off.

Hey, now that's an idea I hadn't thought of. Did you try this on your vette?

I had a Husky/Wolf mix who would drool all over the dash and console of my 2000 Camaro. IIRC, I just washed it down and applied some Maguire's vinyl and leather conditioner.

How about Back to Black by Maguires ? Works great on outside trim, though I've never tried it on the inside leather.

That's a first for this forum I believe....made me laugh.

Seriously ask AutoGeek (on line chat) or in the detail/ cleaning section of this forum.

Acids/ proteins may have discolored so back to black or other conditioner may be the answer.

Good luck.

Yes. Don't let your dog in the car.

I don't want dog hair, dog drool, or dog Klingon's on the dash or seat of my Corvette.

I have all that, plus other unidentifiable substances in the rear of our SUV, but I don't really care. We bought that vehicle to transport our two large dogs.

You guys have no standards at all.

I won't even let an ugly woman get in my car.
