Default Guessing game- 1/4 ET and trap

everyones favorite game...taking my 2006 Z06 to the track Friday night for the first time. Any guesses on 1/4 and trap? Mods are...

Ported LS7 heads
Ported MSD by Mamo
NW 102 TB
Lingenfelter GT20 cam
ARH 1 7/8 headers
ARH off road X
cutouts will be open but Corsa exhaust
325/30/19 ET Street SS that hook first gear from a slow roll pretty well on warm days on the street

car made 591 on mustang dyno recently

if traction is good first pass or two, I've got a Nitrous Outlet 150 shot on it as well

closest guess gets....nothing, but it's still fun!

Well, you have a lot of ponies....but we don't have a clue if you know how to launch that power. I will guess a best of 11.70. I know you are looking for better, but it is your first time, soooo...

If I read it right, the conversion would be that the engine is making about 710 HP, and you have a 150 shot option, right?

Regardless, I am eager to hear back from you, as I know you will have a great time. Please let us know how it goes, and take some pics. Have fun!!!

First time with this car at the track, not to say I'm a pro drag racer by any means. The car does have the 150 shot option on top it has put down 750ish whp in the past on the bottle. I'm figuring I'll run 11.xx due to inexperience with this car, but know it's capable of 10's at that power level and lower with the spray. I'll update with results this weekend.

The car is probably capable of low 10's @ 140 with good prep, low DA, and DR. Given street tires, average prep, ~1500 DA, and lack of experience for the driver, I'm thinking 12.5 first pass and 11.2 @ 133 on the best pass if they don't kick you out for no rollbar/harness.
If you learn the track quicker than I expect, then 10.8 @ 137.

Everyone seems to think low 11's will be the best, you're probably right but I'm definitely shooting for a 10 on motor.

What size block do you have? That will be the clue as to how fast you'll be.

Well...disappointed on a few levels. Only got to run once...brought little guy to the track and he got tired and then fell and hurt his knee and was crying to go home. The one run I did get, first pass ever in the car, was ok I guess. Did a paltry 2.08 60ft with a slight bog then spinning all through first gear. 11.65@127. Little more throttle next time and a little less tire pressure I started around 20psi and planned to work my way down but obviously never got to try anything else. Most of the other guys I talked to were having traction issues too. Have to update next time I go, but wasn't terrible with a crappy 60ft I guess. Some of you would have been right I hope and I would have learned with each pass....to be continued

It will go in the 10's, but seat time will probably keep you in the 11's.

I guessed 11.65, only .05 off. For me, the key was that you had never tracked this particular car before. I bet the next time you go, it will be 11.30, or so.

Hope you had a good time, as that is what matters, and thanks for coming back and posting.

this pass was an 11.3@128.xx. Still a terrible 60ft I bogged it a bit which sucks because it felt like it was going to actually hook up

Okay, this is getting crazy...I guessed 11.70 for the first time out..you went 11.65.

Then, I guessed 11.30 for your second time out...you went 11.30.

I really should win something....meaningful!! Like, a vacation, or a set of headers, something like that.....

Haha I noticed that, you've been spot on so far. I think I had a 10 in me last night but on the second pass the car shut down while attempting the burnout twice. Weirdest thing I don't know what happened. In competitive driving mode, tires started to spin for a second then power cut and I saw reduced engine power flash for a second. Start it back up, same thing again...everyone at the strip is probably thinking what an idiot this guy is stalling trying to warm the tires. So I just line up with no burnout and roll off line slow, then immediately spin and get a little loose so the pass was basically a total loss. After that I was kinda nervous to run it again thinking something was wrong and ended up just going home..next time out will have to be the one. Shoulda sprayed it on the first run! But I want to hit 10s on motor first

I would stay on motor only until I got a couple very good passes, regardless of E.T. Otherwise, you won't know if you are reaching your potential. Get a good baseline for motor only, then do the spray.

If I recall, you mentioned something about letting more air out of the rears, right? Were you thinking of something like 16 psi? Less air does not always result in better traction, and can hurt traction if you are too low. And, if you are running really low, you might be triggering the tire ratio nanny.

Have you tried running around 24psi? You might be surprised at what a decent rollout with a little spin, and the slightly taller tire on the top end will do. Just a thought.

I usually run the tires at 23 PSI on the street and let a little air out at the track. last night I ran them at 18 PSI. First run really seemed like it was going to hook which caught me a little by surprise since they don't prep this particular track much at all on test and tune night. The tires caught for a second but I wasn't on the throttle enough at that point and lost some RPM, then got on it with really no spin through the rest of first..that little bit of RPM loss and hesitation can cost you a lot of time and MPH as we all know..i was please with 11.3 for the second pass ever though.

I love all vettes, and not trying to start crap, but 591 on a mustang dyno seems way too high. Good luck with everything have fun and be safe.
