Default Grand Sport License Plate

Got into the spirit of the Grand Sport after ordering mine and waiting 6/7 weeks for it to be built and delivered!

Bought 2 books I'd recommend. One all about the Grand Sport and how Zora Arkus-Duntov built it as a "Cobra Killer." GM didn't back the effort as they initially promised but this very light weight car came close!

The other is about Duntov himself, from his youth, his work in Europe before the War, the Duntov OHV Hemi Head conversions for the Ford flathead though his time at GM. Great read.

A Forum Poster Suggested a Licence plate with ZORA! Thought this was a fitting tribute to him and the Grand Sport!

The plate and simple perimeter metal frame meet SC law. No part of any number or letter can be covered. However you are allowed to add a decal as long as no part of a number or letter is covered! Couldn't resist adding a JAKE emblem- this will make 15!

Both are actually hat pins! Clipped off the pin and ground down the attached brazed joint. Then used 3M outdoor two sided tape to attach. The C7 flags were on my C7, Z51 for 3 1/2 years.

SC law states decals allowed (if they do not cover any part of a letter or number.) Doubt I'll get any flak about them being raised. In fact was never stopped in my C7!

Cool, thanks Jerry. I know exactly which pins you're referring to. I actually always keep a few of them on hand to give to my customers. Great idea that I may have to steal from you.
