Any difference in a 95 lt1 vs a 94?
Possible silly question but I want to ask, 95 LT1 pullout from a C4, only difference is it's a manual to my auto.
Were there any differences in the 95 lt1 that would stop it from dropping in my 94?
I am in the middle of finishing my tear down and with bearing damage and crank damage(previous owner) I am doing a complete rebuild 383 but I want to drive my car badly.
Got a line on a cheap complete(with computer) lt1 minus flywheel, but wanted to make sure the year difference didn't matter. Silly question but I rather make sure then drop the money and be sorry.
Thanks for your time

And having a spare PCM is certainly a +!!!

Something else I just thought of. The 95 lt1 engine I am getting has the harness and pcm, should I remove my old wiring harness and pcm (since the harness is disconnected ) and utilize the 95 harness/pcm with the 95 engine?
if so, is the harness pcm swap pretty straight forward? I have the fsm. I was told the 95 pcm has a tune on it as well. Not sure if I should keep it all together see how it runs with the new pcm and get it retuned if needed
A tune leads me to believe there is something more than just an aftermarket throttle body, maybe a different cam?

I can't imagine you'll need to change the harness. I believe the 94/95 PCMs are the same or at least interchangeable. I actually run one in my 96, which is an OBD2 car, and it works fine. But as noted in post #5, I'd take the extra PCM if it's free or cheap. And if it has some kind of tune on it, that's probably at least worth trying. I'm sure you can swap PCMs to try a stock 94 tune against the tuned 95. Actually, it would be cheap for you to buy Tunercat and save both tunes, and then you can also make changes as you see fit.

Good point. That's a plus, though, and it shouldn't make a difference in terms of using the 94 harness or ECM. Just make sure the vacuum setup is in good condition and not clogged.
