Daughter is getting married and wants to ride up in My Vette-Updated w pics
Our 23 yr old daughter, just graduated college last weekend, is getting married in July .
She is getting married at a local outdoor venue, does have large indoor facility in case of rain, and to be honest She kind of blindsided me when she told me the other day she wanted she and I to pull up the ceremony in My Vette (Hell I never knew she even liked it to be honest )
Anyone else ever done this, it will be a short pull around from where she gets ready and I will drive her up to the point where She and I walk down the isle together
She also told me they wanted to ride off from wedding in my Vette as well too
Just looking for ideas, we will be pulling up on grassy area I assume will have the top in. Wife told me her wedding dress is not a "large fru fru" wedding dress that some wear so will not be any problem getting in and out of car

Your daughter only gets married once so I'd say yes.

I say yes as well. however...
if your vette is just a car then just say yes.
If your vette means something more to you then have a sit down talk with her about using, respecting and taking car of it when she drives off in it. They are powerhouse cars and can easily get away from an uneducated driver. Make sure she knows you want her to be happy on her day but also not to ruin yours.
Good luck.

It's your daughters wedding. Go for it. Taking the Vette apparently is something she wants to make part of her big day.
As far as the rain goes, who gives a crap about rain on a vette. It can be cleaned. Unless you show your car with mirrors situated beneath the under carriage, no one will know. The under carriage can also be cleaned if need be. There was a recent thread on just that topic.
I guess I don't care much about my C6, because it likely gets rained on each and every week, especially on long road trips. Rain is pretty hard to avoid when away for 2-3 weeks at a time.
I am the proud owner of a "rained" on 85K mile car. It is a PIA to clean after being rained on however, but I suck it up and do it anyway
Have yourself a fantastic day for your daughter and your family to remember forever.

My DIL was driven up to the church in my son's C6 the day they got married, and they both drove away in it after the ceremony.

To show respect for the groom and the transfer of obligations, drive her to the ceremony in your Vette, but get a rental Vette (preferably a white C7) for them to leave in.
Part of a marriage ceremony is about starting a new life and that would make it clear to all, that they are not tied to the past.
Besides, you can drive away in your own Vette with your wife.

Rain does not bother me, just would cause all the festivities to be inside and they would still ride away in it
Oh by I am tickled to death to do whatever she wants this.
Guess just asking if anyone done this before and any tips . Want to make everything as special as possible for her
By way, told my future SIL I am NOT WALMART and she is NOT RETURNABLE LOL.

All you can hope for is nice weather. If it rains, at least the wedding ceremony can be moved inside, so you have that covered.
I'm sure everything will work out just fine. Congrats and have a memorable day.

Safety Car
My son asked me to borrow the C6 for his wedding. The bride in full gown and groom drove off in it and arrived at the reception across town later on. The c6 has a cameo in the wedding pics which makes me smile when I see them in it. Well worth it.

When my wife & I were married in 1989, we used my father in law's '61 Corvette as the getaway car from the church to the reception. What an incredible experience and memory!
