Z06 stage 2 spoiler winglets - a new approach
Today a friend of mine and I installed the stage 2 Z06 winglets onto my Z51 spoiler.
I think it came out great. Instead of using the stock bolts, we used black head screws we got from Lowes (along with the super duper 3m vhb double side tape). We were able to get the top bolt that goes above the center brake light screwed in. We also screwed the the side screw in and to hide the 1/4" of exposed screw, we cut a small square of foam and colored it black, drilled a hole through it and screwed the screw through the foam. That added that much more strength and stability to the side and it's not really noticeable. You just see a tiny piece of black foam when you look straight down at it. I know some have drilled bigger holes and used the stock bolts but by using screws, we are just adding a greater degree of strength. Using a clamp also helped ensure that the piece didn't move so we got it positioned exactly where we wanted it.

Looks good you are a brave man to do it yourself .

thanks. Having a friend and using the clamp were super helpful. The first one was a bit of a challenge but the second one was easy! Compared to the side skirts and chin spoiler, this was harder. Probably about equal to the level of difficulty of the Z06 fender scoops.
