2010 grand sport vs 2015 stingray base.
Thanks for your help

I dont know know if this is a fact, but it has been mentioned that the base stingray handles as well if not better than the C6 Grandsport.
Also it might not even be more expensive to find a Z51 package C7.
However, only you know if you like the car and experience as a whole. Do you like the way it looks? Is the interior comfortable for you (it's no smaller, honest)? All of those subjective things matter.
But if you LIKE the car beyond the driving it part, the driving will be a pleasant surprise.
We drove it about 40 miles to another dealer where we test drove a 2015 2LT coupe. In less than thirty seconds we knew we'd never be happy with any C6 compared to the C7.
We've owned a dozen Corvettes over the years and can attest to the fact that the C7 is light years beyond any Corvette model before it. If you can find a way to afford a C7... any C7, you'll never look back!
C6 had less blind spots
C7 has much improved NAV.
C7 seats are better.
C7 interior bits seem to be of higher quality (although I am experiencing more squeaks and buzzes than I did in the C6)
C7 has that console grab handle that doesn't seem to have a purpose other than add to the claustrophobia
C7 carpet isn't as nice as that in the GS
I'm old so I don't see anything wrong with a dash that contains real gauges instead of a bunch of digital stuff so I give the nod to the C6
C7 paddle shift is much more intuitive than on the C6
C7 doesn't have the hatch pull down (I think it may have been added to the newer models though)
C7 has displacement by demand which does not seem to be very refined. M7 folks don't have to worry about it as much.
I don't track my cars so I can't really offer much of a performance opinion other than to say that I didn't notice any significant difference
C7 feels much less jittery going down the road.
C7 targa top makes a lot of pops when pulling into or out of a driveway
C6 brakes squealed like mad (no matter what brake pads I put on it) C7 brakes (crosses fingers) have been very quiet thus far. (I am at almost 14K miles)
C7 seat heaters are not as effective as those in the C6.
This is for the 2018/19 model year so it won't be exact to the 2015 model year but it gives you an idea of what the 2LT has over the 1LT (base).
