What it seems like you are selling is a American Custom Industries / John Greenwood GT, built in Sylvania Ohio. Greenwood built this made to order car with ACI at the end of their business dealings with each other in 1978. As per your plack you have car # 5 , left over placks from the greenwood cars were used on the ACI cars . Your car was then sold as a ACI GT. All remnants of the Greenwood name were taken off the car or covered up and your center caps were turned over and a 78 emblem put on the center. If you take off the plastic center cap and turn it over it will probably say greenwood GT with the word greenwood ground off. The center pillar emblem was changed to a ACI emblem to cover up the greenwood name in order not to be involved in a lawsuit. I have 2 of these cars , my documented brown/tan ACI is in this month's July 2017 issue of Corvette Magazine - its also the 1979 catalog car used by the wife of the owner of ACI to promote their cars - so I know the history of these cars. Good luck in selling it. It is a piece of history, if it was not red (already have a red one) I would be interested in buying it. - Some pictures for you -

Mancuso Chevrolet sponsored Greenwood. Rick Mancuso, one of the sons co drove Greenwood's cars in several races and sold Greenwood street trim cars.

Great looking car. Best of luck on the sale.

I have a 1978 Greenwood GT , Tan and Brown. I purchased the car in 1983 from Bob Schulers partner Jim Avery. I am currently refurbishing the complete vehicle. How much are you selling your vehicle for ?.
