Car beeping while driving
So I just picked up my 2018 stingray from the museum yesterday. (1st 2018 delivered at the ncm ) but on the drive home I noticed it kept chiming or beeping at every minute or two, i only noticed it at lowe speeds on back roads. Nothing being indicated on dash or anything. It's an auto and I had it in manual mode. Anyone know what thats all about?

I was storing my wife over there. I did have her buckled in tho.

Did your wife try releasing and re-fastening her seat belt? It sure sounds like the alarm that happens when it senses someone in the passenger seat without the belt fastened. It could easily be a poorly seated connector to the seat sensor.
I first ran into this issue with my 2014 Cadillac ATS when I had a laptop case sitting in the passenger seat and it weighed enough that hitting a bump would cause the seatbelt alarm to go off.

The car should not be beeping or chiming while driving w/o having some sort of message or light on the DIC.
Definitely not normal. I do recall someone about a year or two ago who had the same issue, but I don't think we ever heard what the issue turned out being.

I think I'd go for a couple more drives and see what happens before I got too concerned. Passenger belt may not have been connected properly, or maybe there was a door ajar, who knows... but if it comes back, get it checked!

Are you sure there wasn't a message in the display in the center of the tach? There are quite a few messages that can pop up there e.g. "Fuel Level Low", "Problem with this or that" etc. In some cases if the message isn't dismissed by pushing the center button on the right spoke of the steering wheel a chime will sound.

get phone out, record said "beeps" and post the video on here for starters also, focus in on the DID (driver's info display) so we can see what's happening.

I think it may have been the on star navigation. I wad using that when u noticed it, and now that you mentioned it, it started after I missed a turn and had to turn around and get back on course. I did tell it not to recalculate though. Thanks! I have driven it twice since and no beeps

I was at the museum Saturday and I think I saw you sitting in your new Stingray and the guy was showing you the highlights and features. Very Nice Choice BTW! Is it Silver? I think your GF and her Mom were there too. About the chimes,....There is a slight learning curve to the Corvette. You will be discovering different things about it for at least the next year. If there's no lights coming on the dash or anywhere else then You shouldn't worry about it. Driving home mine chimed when I changed time zones indicating that the clock updated. IMHO You should consider a full rear spoiler, They really dress up the car nicely!
