Default Big HP, Big Torgue...what support do I need?

Ok CF NATION....I am calling on everyone and anyone who thinks they can help me with what I consider to be a DREAM BUILD!
Here is the background....I am privileged to have been asked to build a 1968 Corvette Convertible daily driver, drag strip, Cam Am Corvette. In fact the owner who bought this vehicle brand new...that's right 1 OWNER, wants to model the Ride Tech 48 hour corvette if possible. Problem is we can't find the actual "Build Sheet".....so,

I have already installed the Ride Tech stage 2 front and rear coilover package. I also added the Wilwood 13" rotor with 6 piston calipers. The owner is going with a LT3 650 HP/ 650 Torgue engine....now comes the part I need help with.....

The car has 5 speed TKO tranny, Factory rear (3.70), factory 2.5" half shafts....We both know that won't work however were not sure what exactly we do need? Do we go automatic transmission or will the 5 speed handle the engine? If we go auto or different tranny do I need to modify the tunnel? What size half shafts do I need to go with...AND what kind of yolks do I get for both half shafts and drive shaft??

I know this forum is going to give me a list and I WELCOME it!! By the way...money isn't that big of an issue!!
I can't wait to show you the entire build start to finish including the frenched headlights...

Here is a clean canvas before putting the rear coilover package in.

Here is the front wilwood's done.

Complete Stage 2 fully adjustable coilover set up...now what drivetrain shall I install?

TKO tranny will handle anything you can throw at it. A forum member with his own dyno was putting 1200HP thru one

I have the tko 600 with blow proof bell housings and block saver plate. SFI 11.5 pound aluminum 168 tooth fly wheel and sachs clutch it is actually to light and I'm going back to my 22 pound steel sfi

You might want to look at twin disk clutches.

The rear brake should be smaller than the front. Roughly 1/2 to 2/3 the piston area in the caliper or use an adjustable brake bias.

I have a built up stock 8 3/4 with all Tom's posi to outer axles. Lots of posts on big hp rears.

I have all the nhra drive line and half shafts hoops with 6 point role cage. Sparko 17 pound fiber seats with SFI 5 point belts

Hate to tell ya now, but you should have welded up the frame while it was apart. At least put a 6 point in it.

Check out Van Steel for your rear diff and half shafts as another option.

I'd look at the RideTech 9" IRS conversion if money is no object.....You already have the front RideTech stuff so...makes perfect sense.

They use to have a build sheet on their website....didn't see it. Maybe someone can find it with a little more effort than I put into it.

The other option would be 12 bolt with 1480 u-joints for the ridetech rear suspension. Mike Dyer is doing a special ten bolt wtih the ridetech suspension and 1480s as we speak.
