Can anyone recommend a shop in the Seattle area (preferably Everett area or north, but not a big deal if I have to drive a bit for good work) to rebuild my OEM C5 alternator that has noisy bearings?

I've heard good things about Lynnwood Auto Electric, but no personal experience.

Any input appreciated. Thanks.

There is some wrong info regarding alternators floating around on here. I bought a replacement alt from O'Reilly's and it runs juuuuuuust fine. The only reason you would need to find a joint to do this, is if you want to polish the case, since you need extra high power soldering tools to seperate the wires from the diode bridge, which mechanically locks the front case to the rear.

I have a c4 rebuilt for sale if your still needing one. I bought it a while back for $75 and just want it gone.

Thanks all. I ended up just getting a new ACDelco replacement and it's working fine.
